  2. I lost 60 lbs. in the first three months, but now it has slowed down. I'm still losing, but much slower. Now that I can eat regular foods, and not only liquids/protein shakes, I believe my body is just adjusting. Just keep making good choices, and it will come off. I don't mind slow, as long as I keep dropping!
  3. Sassafras-You put it perfectly! Tumbleweeds of hair! lol Not that I'm glad that you all are losing yours as well, but I am glad to know it isn't just me. I really didn't expect it to be this much. Mine is falling out evenly, so no bald spots, but it is very thin. My husband said he's going to buy stock in Drano!
  4. My 5 month anniversary will be 1/21. It started falling out about a month ago. I thought, ok, it won't last long, but my hair is getting extremely thin. I guess I'll just keep doing what I know I'm supposed to do. I hope it stops soon! Thanks for the responses.
  5. I knew that hair loss was a side effect of the surgery, but i truly was not prepared for this. My hair is falling out EVERYWHERE. I really am not sure how I don't have bald patches. I eat my protein everyday and take my vitamins. I also take Biotin each day. How long does this last? Will I lose all my hair? I'm freaking out a bit.
  6. Doxie- I'm sorry about your setback. Fortunately, my gallbladder was out before I had my sleeve. I did recover quickly from that surgery. Hopefully, you will too! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

  10. Doxieville-When will you go back on your meds? I hope everything is healed perfectly for you by then!
  11. Brandywine- I had to be on full liquids until 8 weeks. I start soft foods tomorrow. I'm sooo excited! I only have to do soft foods for one week and then I'm unrestricted.
  12. Thanks, everyone! I'll ask at my next appt. and see what my surgeon says. I'm coming up on 8 weeks tomorrow, and go to soft foods. Woot woot! I'm a nervous nellie, so I was curious if I could still have a leak at this point.
  13. I'm wondering if at a certain time I can stop being worried about a leak, or is it always a concern?
  14. My gums bleed when I brush my teeth. I'm a little over 6 weeks post op. I'm curious to hear what your doc says.
  15. You are absolutely right. I've tried every diet you mentioned and failed. If you tell me I CAN'T have it, I want it more! I'm struggling again through this full liquid for 6 weeks phase. Tonight I might have one pretzel.
  16. Thanks! I'm tolerating food well, and usually measure everything out. I'm so paranoid. I had soup at lunch and may have eaten over a 1/2 cup. I was at a restaurant and didn't want to break out a measuring cup in front of all my co workers! I was full, but not in pain or close to puking. I read things on here(where I got the split the sleeve info) and appreciate the support, but sometimes it makes me more nervous than I need to be.
  17. Neilsleeve- May I ask what your doctor told you regarding the myths? I am 6 weeks post op and still on full liquids. I've heard things like I could split my sleeve if I move to soft foods too quickly. I see you are eating unrestricted. I'm curious to hear your docs take on things.
  18. I was hungry too! I've heard from a number of people that it is normal. I am yet to have an issue with acid reflux, so I know that wasn't it. It got much better after I got to start full liquids. Are you to that stage yet? The blended soups really fill me up. Hang in there. The first 2 weeks are the hardest!
  19. Thanks, everyone! I just need some reassurance sometimes. I'm trying not to run to the hospital with every ache and pain, but don't want to ignore something that might be serious. I love the support and advice I get from you all!
