I'm getting my surgery in the morning (Oct.15,2012) at 8am ......I have never had surgery before I am so nervous and excited. I'm having mixed emotions. Does anyone else feel that way?

I think most people feel that way. I sure did. But its ok to feel that way. You are making a huge decision that will change your life, but for the better. You will be surprised at how quickly this part goes by!

I do, and I'm still 3 weeks away. I start my pre-op diet tomorrow. ONe minute I'll be excited, the next I can't believe I'm doing this to myself. No backing out now. So many people say "if I can do it anyone can do it". O.k. we'll do it then, right? Let me know how it goes.

You'll do just fine, nerves are normal. Just keep reminding yourself how much you need to lose this weight. Your on your way to anew healthy life.

Everyone feels that way right before surgery. I would be concerned if you didn't at least have a little trepidation, it is a major surgery after all. That being said, VSG has a very low complication risk. You will get through the surgery just fine and you will be soo glad you did! Good luck, your new life awaits!!! :D

I am 8 days away from my surgery. Was not nervous until my pre-op visit when everything got me. I am super excited but super nervous. Good luck to everyone going in this week!!

I was in your shoes last week. I just got sleeved last Thursday! So far it has been a much better experience than I could have ever imagined. You will be fine. :-)

I get mine tommorow at 7:15 am I feel the exact same way!! I'm so ready to start my new life!

I know I felt the exact same way. Now eight months later and 14 pounds from goal it all is a distant memory and the new freedoms this surgery brought about are amazing. You'll do great and you can do this. It's the best thing I've ever done for myself, ever. Hang in there.
