  3. 1- scallops, especially cooked with a sweet Thai chili sauce (omg so good!) 2- teriyaki beef Jerky from Walmart. 1 ounce is 12 grams of Protein, and you have no choice but to eat it slow. 3- black bean Soup from any Mexican restaurant. With a little sour cream or Greek yogurt on top. Yum! It helps with my protein and calorie intake.
  4. Yayyyy!! That's an exciting time!!
  5. Yes height definitely matters. I'm 6'1" and 285lbs and can wear a 20.

  7. I was having dizzy spells and was told to increase my carbs. I learned really fast that flour tortillas do NOT agree with my sleeve, I have no desire to try corn ones. Also I cannot stomach a scrambled egg but I can eat an egg sunny side up which is interesting. I also think I am post op lactose intolerant, I have tried cheese, yogurt and chocolate milk and all made me sick. I never had a problem with dairy before surgery and since I am only 6 Weeks out I am hoping it will subside. Throwing up the foam has been the worst part for me, I try so hard to avoid vomiting but it is the only thing that relieves that pressure. I think an antacid would help but my doctor doesn't want to put me on anything unless I absolutely can't live without it.
  8. I couldn't get either link to work either, but this worked for the friend request. https://www.facebook.com/robin.c.benson
  9. The past two days out of no where I get fuzzy vision out of my left eye, looking straight ahead I can see the Blur in my left peripheral vision but I feel the splitting pain in the right side of my head. I was just about to head out to dinner and I can feel it starting again. What can I do?
  10. Yes that's why!! I used to sweat all the time living in south Florida and now I can actually sit in the car with no air and the windows up sometimes. That's my favorite part about this surgery believe it or not lol. I love being cold, soooooo much better than being hot!!
  11. Yes, I was also under the impression that your body will start producing ghrelin again eventually. Therefore you will get hungry again, hopefully not to the same extreme. You also won't be as cold anymore since your body temperature will be regulating normally again. With that said I still think it is impossible to not lose weight with the sleeve because you are definitely going to be at a calorie deficit, since if we were eating less than 1,000 calories before surgery, we probably wouldn't be having this surgery. Also the stomach is harder to stretch with the surgery than any of the others. In a nut shell, you will lose weight... How much you lose is up to you =)
  12. Oh ok. Than I'm at a loss =( when I went to the e.r no one could figure out what would be hurting on the left side. They just kept asking if I thought it could be gas pains. Good luck again!
  13. Yummy... Coincidentally I just posted a recipe on another thread where you can make crab legs in a crock pot. Glad you enjoyed it... I'm gonna try this recipe later this week! http://www.livestrong.com/article/462005-how-to-cook-crabs-in-a-slow-cooker/
