    June Sleevers Post Op

Hi y’all..Hope everyone is having a great day. I’m 3 weeks out just wondering if y’all have any discomfort when drinking protein shakes?? I can take about 5 sips then my stomach just starts cramping like lactose cramps. I drink premier protein but this past week it just feels like they r so thick and my stomach is like NOPE. Any suggestions on what else I can drink and will this continue once I start actually eating?? Right now I’m n the puréed diet but I eat like 3 bits and I’m done. I’m just worried about getting in my protein.

    June Sleevers Post Op

Hi I had a lapband to sleeve revision surgery on 6/15. I feel ok just tired. I’ve read others comment on here and I’m exactly the same it takes me all day to get in my protein. The only problem I’m having off and on is right side pain. It comes and goes. I’m not sure if it gas pains or what. It feels like a catch or a bad cramp then it will just go away. Have any of y’all experienced this??
  4. Hi...I had gastric sleeve surgery on June 14th and I’ve done really good but I woke up yesterday with right side pain. I thought at 1st it was the way I slept but it has continued to bother me yesterday and today. I’ve taken gas-x and walked thinking it was trapped gas but I’m just not sure. The pain feels like a cramp in my side after you would run or walk along way. It close to one of my incision so I’m thinking it’s normal. Have any of y’all had this type of pain before??

What do ya'll eat for protein??

I seen my dr last week and he said everything was good and I'm on track. It's been a year and a half and I've lost 50 lbs. He said that I should only b eating about 4 oz at one time. That's not enough to get good protein in. I'm just worried my hair has gotten really thin.
  6. I try and try to eat protein but can only eat just a little bit. I look up how much protein is in grilled chicken or grilled fish but I only eat 1/3 of the portion then I have to count on protein shakes. Please need help in what ya'll eat? I need ideas..

    Feeling fustrated...

Thanks guys...that's what I was thinking. I'm calling the doc in the morning.
  8. I thought I was in the green zone and I didn't get a fill for 3 months. I'm 15 months banded. Then I found that I could eat a little more and was getting hungry in between meals. So I went in May on my 1 yr. and had a a little fill. I was feeling fine a lil tight but not to bad. Now the past 3 weeks I can hardly eat. I don't ever vomit but I do that slimming thing (nasty) and I hurt. I can hardly get my protein in but I weighed today and I have gained 3 lbs. I'm scared to get any taken out but I can't stand not eating or hardly being able to drink my protein shakes. I usually can't eat or drink anything before 2 pm except water. I need advice...

    banded 4/30/13

Carlak I just had you in my mind this week. So glad you finally got approved. Now your journey will begin. Don't let ups and down of the band get you side tracked or stressed. Always look on the upside. Good luck
  10. Hi PhatKat... Keep your head up. I was the same way my first 3-6 months. The 1st month I lost really good but as soon as I was able to eat food again I gained everything back and was soooo embarrassed. But I started to lose again but it was slow and my dr measured me and I lost a good amount of inches. He told me not to get discouraged and that my body was trying to keep ahold of the fat and it was in shock mode. After my 4th fill is when I noticed the big change. I was 190 a yr ago and today I'm 151. It takes time just hang in there.

    Fell off the wagon

My binge food starts with choc chip cookies so I don't even buy them lol. It's ok if you have a slip up just brush it off and get back up and start all over again. I was just wondering how in the world you were able to eat all that bread. I would still be hanging my head in the toilet. I can not do bread or any potatoes. Good luck you can do this.

    Nutrition Bars

I like Premier Protein Bars and Shakes. Only a 100 calories and 17 gr protein. When my sweet tooth kicks in that's what I go for.
