  1. I have the 10cc band and I only have 1.2cc I don't think I am too tight but I am actually just right. Everyone is definitely different in the amount they need. I wouldn't want anymore fluid in mine.
  2. I am able to either take pills or children's liquid. My dr prefers I do the liquid or actually come to think of it there is also children's chewable.
  3. Have you tried milk of magnesia?
  4. My doctor told me I wouldn't have to deflate my band when I get pregnant unless I kept throwing up. Also I do know there are gummy prenatals if that would be easier for you? I know that target here carries them. Not sure where else they are found.
  5. Mine thinned somewhere around the 3 month mark and lasted about a month then it started coming back.
  6. I was given liquid lortab and zofran that dissolves under tongue. For me the worst pain was my port. Everytime I would move at all in a way that used my stomach muscles man it hurt really bad. I used my lortab for the first 3 days then switched to Tylenol.
  7. Unfortunately they have the opposite affect on me. I get constipated from protein shakes :-(
  8. I take both my fiber and my vitamins in gummy form. I chew chew chew and I have never had a problem with them.
  9. I use fiber gummies and a stool softener (colace) daily in order to keep things moving.
  10. I have lost 122 pounds in 10 months so its definitely not impossible. I'm now down to 156. Definitely one of the best things I've ever done.
  11. I'm in Tulsa but mine cost me $12,200 cash. It has since went up a little but is still below $13,000 where I went.
  12. I have 1cc in my band and I feel I'm in the green zone. I've lost 113 pounds since may 2012 like this. It's definitely different for everyone.
  13. Dumping is not associated with the band usually. It is usually associated with gastric bypass.
  14. I was self pay and so my doctor only required a letter from my doctor saying i was ok to have surgery and a meeting with a nutritionist and then preop bloodwork. I did not have to do the psych eval.
  15. So I've been having heart burn the last couple days on and off. Not sure if its something I should be worried about. I have been banded since may 2012 and I've only got 1cc in my band. I've been extremely happy with my band so far. I am able to eat and drink fine but I've been having this heart burn for a couple days and since I don't normally get heart burn it does have me worried. Anyone have any thoughts? I am going to ask my surgeon but it is a little late to do that tonight. I'm hoping I haven't slipped or something.
  16. I had band with plication and I only have 1cc total in my band and I do not want anymore. I'm happy where it is at and I've lost 113 pounds since may 2012

  18. My surgeon only completely forbids carbonation but frowns upon bread or too much rice or pasta because of it getting stuck so I just completely avoid it all and personally I don't really miss it and I'm doing fine.
  19. Mine was liquid lortab (pain) and zofran (nausea) that was a dissolvable tablet
  20. Yeah I agree with the others my doctor says no rice, pasta, or bread because of it likely getting stuck. I am able to eat anything else and have never gotten stuck. I've been banded since may 2012. Have you tried just eating moist meat and some kind of veggie with no bread rice or pasta?
  21. I didn't have to do clear liquids at all. Just liquids in general then mushies. In the mushy stage I ate mashed sweet potatoes, cottage cheese, fat free turkey chili (approved by my surgeon)
  22. My doctor had me take milk of mag and it helped me a lot. I actually didn't have a lot of gas pain. My pain was pretty bad but it was from the port. None of my other incisions hurt at all either.
  23. I eat mostly meat. I am able to eat any meat. I have never had a stuck episode. I also only have 1 cc in my band though and I'm 8 months since surgery.
  24. I am 8 months post op and have only 1cc in my band and am happy with it. I also had plication too though so I don't know if that's why I don't need much fill.
