That happened to me...time was flying by and then seemed to virtually halt, but it is picking back up again. My surgery is the 10th. Maybe it is when you get within a week of your procedure that time gets going again!

Yay for Friday! I am next Wednesday and starting to get sweaty palms so I can imagine what Friday must feel like! Take deep breaths (and your meds ) . It'll be ok. The end (and beginning) are in sight. Hang in there!!

I'm on the 10th and feel exactly the same way...very excited and nervous, too. I can't wait or the 10th to get here, but am scared, too. This has all happened kind of fast. I saw the dr last fall and then put off seeing the psychiatrist. I finally decided to see him and made an apt for Mar 25th. A few days later, the surgeons office called and BAM I'm scheduled for surgery! Kind of a whirlwind after a lot of feet dragging! I am ready tho. So glad that I don't have to go thru this alone.

I so appreciate all the feedback!! I meet with my surgeon this Wednesday so I will be discussing this with him. If nothing else, I have some Norco from an old ankle injury stashed away if worse comes to worse. I am just glad that I a not a wimp for thinking SURGERY might HURT a bit!!

This is for all patients. I know when I had gallbladder surgery, I had lortab for a week and needed it. I would think that this will be similar. The nurse said that I will just be sore like I did a whole lot of sit ups at the gym. I'm not really buying that.

I have an appointment with my surgeon next week (banding scheduled for week after next) and I'm going to discuss with him. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't out of line of thinking this was going to be a little more pain than advil could handle! I'm not one to suffer silently! Thanks for your reply!

My doctors office says that all I will need is Advil, Tylenol or Aleve post op and that they do not send you home with a prescription for any pain medication. This has me a little worried since I'm not the toughest cookie in the jar. Any thoughts? TIA!

That is awesome that you have done so great on your pre op diet! I know what you mean about anxiety. I had half a day of pre op testing today and it kind of ramped up my anxiety, as well. Hang in there...it will all be worth it!!

Hi, Lynn. You are scheduled one day after me! Are you nervous?? I think that I am more excited than nervous!

I'm nervous, too about a new way of eating. I think it would be odd if weren't somewhat scared!
