I haven't been sleeved yet, but I had my lap-band removed on 7-19 and will hopefully be sleeved by the end of October/early November. When I came home from the lap-band removal, my then 3 year old, now 4 year old son wanted to be able to jump on my lap as usual. My husband and I explained that I had some boo boos on my tummy because my Dr. had to do surgery to help me feel better. We also explained that my tummy would be hurting for a while and that he needed to be very careful with me and that if he wanted to sit in my lap, he would have to climb up gently because I could not lift him. We also told him that I would have to go back to the Dr. and have this done again. He has been really good... one of my incisions is still scabbed and can be painful at times and he sees me clean it, put Neosporin , etc. He likes to pretend to be Doctor Ian, like Doc McStuffins, and pretends that he is giving me medicine and putting a bandaid on me to make me better. (He invented his own pretend medicine that makes everything better within 30 seconds and apparently its in liquid, pill and topical form!)
