  5. @ keep Moving it is great to have you join us. There is a lot to learn here in every step of the process. I am still going through all my exams to submit to my insurance company. Started my process on 10May. I have a friend that had bariatric surgery done last year and she motivated me to look into everything. I wasn't confortable with a bypass but the lap band sounded right for me. I went to see the surgeon thinking I wasn't over weight enough(my denial and looking at myself with rose cloor glasses) to my surprise my BMI was 39.1. I walked away with a lot of information and my surgeon was so reasuring. I made the decision right then that this was best for me. I have been reading everything in sight and still feel the same " this is the best decision for me" @Donna YOU CAN DO THIS!! I know that it is hard for you but it is so important to get that liver tiny so it will be out the way for your surgery. the fatter we become the fatter our liver becomes so you are making it healthy for surgeryso.....You can do this Good Luck with your surgery
  6. Sleep apnea can cause sudden death while a person is sleeping but in addition the body is stressed by the perirods without oxygen and that affects EVERYTHING from concentration, falling asleep while driving, depression, the list goes on and on so it is so worth it to use your machine I don't sleep without it.
