hey nan, good luck on your surgery !! i had mine july 9th and thanks for the info i will ck the web site, you pick a good date to be banded August 31st my Birthday ! LOL....you be just fine just follow Dr.orders and rest take it easy and dont rush your healing !!

hi everyone, i was banded july 9th and have a large 14cc band ,i have 4cc in right now and have lost 20lbs pre-op and post-op but been at that weight for 2wks !!i keep track of my calories on my cell app. wondering how long it took some of you bandsters that have been banded for a longer time .i know we all lose weight at a diffrent pace but would like to have an idea of how long it takes to start losing weight on a regular basis? hi nanu, i orderd the unjury unflavored protien powder a lrg container! ,it is horriable yuck !! i mixed it with crystal light added to sf/pudding it was still yucky any ideas on recipes !! thanks tonyann

hi ashmarie,i know the pain i have been banded 7wks and i still have occasional pain on my port area.i have heard it will hurt for awhile cause ur heeling from the inside out.the port pain has gotten better as time goes by,good luck on ur journey. tonyann

hi 333, same thing has happend to me twice after the 2nd time i learnd not to do it again lol .what i did was get on my treadmill walked 30 min and started burrping and that really help the pain .hope you feel better ! tonyann

Hey guys, can anyone tell me about alcohol and wine with lapband ? before getting banded I would only drink on special occasions just a glass or 2.i have not drank since i got banded,will it be diffrent after being banded? can any one tell me ? i am going on vacation sept,7th to hawaii for our 1st wedding anniversary and would like to have a drink or 2 .and info would be appreciated! thanks tonyann

ARIZONA ,remember, everyone loses weight at a diffrent pace ! i also was frustrated about my slow weight loss i talked to my doctor last week when i got my first fill and this is what he told me ,you have only been banded 6wks ,your going throu your healing ! right now is the time to learn your new eating habits portion control, making good food choices,chewing your food well,eat slow 30min. drink plenty of Water .the time will come when you reach your green zone and the weight will start coming off ! after that talk with my doctor and not thinking i was a failer !! just be patient the time will come !! good luck ! thanks tonyann

hi everyone had a queistion ? how do you know if your stuck? i had brunch about 2 hrs ago and i feel very uncomfortable ,my tummy hurts feel like i over ate which i didnt ! and i didnt even eat a cup size like they say ! and if i am what should i do ? Thanks Tonyann

the dr.prescripe lortab liquid,but no i didnt eat for 3 days just liquids cause i wasnt hungry,but when i went back to see the dr.5 days after surgery is when i told him about being very hungry and my stomach growling thats when he told me to take the pain medicien.

hi lbt ,congratulations ! did your doctor prescripe pain medicen the reason i ask is cause my doctor told me to take it if i got very hungry and that would help with the hungar pain and growling and i would be able to rest and sleep !! i know that sounds crazy ! but thats what he said ! also try sugar free Jello or popsicles ! and what are you mixing your protien with Water or lowfat milk? hope you feel better . tonyann

same here i also didnt know i had h/h till the surgery and my dr. took care of it at the same time i got 4 incions . i had one extra week of liquid diet so the swelling would go down .glad they took care of it cause i dont wake up at night choking with reflux no more heartburn! and stopped take dexelant! tonyann

hi everyone, i have a large band ,i hear about bands in cc .does anyone know how many cc a large band is ? i have 4cc in mine got my first fill tuesday and i feel no diffrence i am for sure i need more . also i have heard the more weight one needs to lose is quicker then if one has less weight to lose is this true? Hi lori ,it took me about 2wks for my swelling to go down ! even now if i sit for a long period of time it bothers me so i have to get up and walk for awhile, so yes everyones pain and healing is differentoh and i was baned july 9th . good luck take care hope u feel better very soon!! Thxs Tonyann

hi 2muchfun ,i didnt have any slime or flem whatsoever just the spasum like pain.do u think it was cause last night when i went to bed i was very hungry ,since i had a very small early dinner .i woke up 2 times during the night my tummy was growling loud just drank water.and didnt eat till about 11:30 am? Thxs tonyann

hi tomuchfun,mine started before i was just going to eat took to small tast of soft scramble eggs and then the pain started ! i stop eating and walk around some doing housework it seems to subside.i hope i dont get it again its very painful! thxs tonyann

hi everyone i have been banded about 33 days ,i havent had a fill yet till this coming tues. was feeling great till about an hour ago when i was just going to eat brunch cause i dont eat Breakfast till about 11;30 am. then the pain started it comes and goes in the middle of my tummy it feels like spasams and it hurts all i had in the morning was 1 cup of coffee and about 4oz of special K protien drink ! has anyone experiance this before ? and like i said i had no problems before this.i didnt eat cause i"m afraid it might get worse.
