Hi guys, i'v been banded since july of this year,i have a lrg band 14cc currently have 5 1/2 fill. I know I'm not at my green zone yet ! But i notice after eating i get nauseous it will last about 1 to 2 hrs. then it goes away ,i never throw up just that feeling ! Anyone else get this way ? could it be i am eating more then i should? i only eat at around 11am ish and then at dinner.Thou when i eat at brunch i am very hungry ! Please i need some feed back ! I also have a 14cc band and currently have 5 1/2 and not yet at green zone .I have a Dr. appt. today for a fill and hope this will get me to the green! My doctor said when having a 14cc band in most patients to get to the green zone it takes about 7 1/2 to 10cc to get there ! Tonyann

hi kathie52, we do have so much in common! and i think maybe even our age ! I live in corpus christi,tx. its about 3-4 hrs from houston my husband sisters and brothers live in H-town! and about the port pain i still have it .but it seems it hurts after i eat and if i am more active then normal ! as for my band i still havent reached my green zone my dr. only adds 1-2cc when i get my fills ,i wish he would add more so i can get to the green sooner ! he says that when haveing a 14cc band most patients reach the green zone at about 7cc-8cc.if thats right i still have some time till i get there ! i currently have 5 1/2cc...good luck on your journey you can ffriend me so we can keep in touch! hi domick, i have the same pain on my port i was banded july9th of this year .my port area has been bothering me also like this evening had to take some meds for pain its very uncomfortable it hurts me for a couple hours during the day about 2-3 days out of the 7 day week!! i am worried also if this is normal i thought by now it wouldnt hurt anymore and i notice if i am more active then normal it will hurt more,i hope it goes away with time.hope you feel better! Hi guys got banded july 9th need some info,does anyone know i need to have surgery on my shoulder, which i have been putting on hold for a long time .do i have to get my band empty? i am so scared ! thats why i have been dealing with the pain on my shoulder,i dont want to start all over again ,i have had 3 fills and not yet reach the green zone ,i hope the 4th will be my lucky number! i have a lrg 14cc band and have 5 1/2 cc in now .my dr.said i will get 2cc on my next visti.can someone whos had surgery with a band please let me know !! hi aiyanas mom,i was baned july9th and have gotten 3 fills and the same thing happens to me the soreness that last 3 to 4 days and it looks like it is swollen at the site where the needle goes in .and this last fill my dr. drew blood yes my blouse got stained.hope you feel better! Tonyann

Hi guys, can anyone answer this question! been banded 3 month as of october 9th, thank god i have alot of hair and long! i am having hair loss like alot i just really notice it more this past week ,i knew this would happen, want to kknow when does it stop ? and does it stop? I take all my Vitamins and protien also take biotien like i should! i thought by following the rules on take my meds it wouldnt lose my hair that much ! but i guess not ! can anyone who has been banded longer answer my question ? I have a 14cc band and have gotten 2 fills so far a total of 5cc and have very little restrection ,so i will for sure need more fills to get to the green zone and start loseing more weight ! thats the diffrence ! it is frustrating but i will get there it will just take me a little longer ! my Dr. said i needed the larger band since i did have i heidit hernia and my stomach would be more swollen after surgery! hi everyone ,i am a bander since july 9th,i have lost 20lbs i wish it was more! its been very slow ! i had a question ,my husband has been thinking about the gastric sleeve what he is worried about and i think is keeping him from deciding is the down time after surgery !i hope he goes throu with it, i am very worried about his health he has a bmi of (44) yes he is a tall man 6'2 but still he has high chlolestrol ,highblood pressure see he works in the oilfield doing what is called fracturing it is a very physical job and heavy lifting working up to 16hrs aday 15 days straight and 6 dys off anyone know about the sleeve down time please let us know !! i love my husband very much and want him around for a long time!! thanks tonyann

hi everyone ,i have been banded 7wks today was wondering if occasional port pain is normal and will it go away in time ? mine hurts sometimes its not that bad but it is bothersome when it does hurt. tonyann

hi everyone, i was banded july 9th and have a large 14cc band ,i have 4cc in right now and have lost 20lbs pre-op and post-op but been at that weight for 2wks !!i keep track of my calories on my cell app. wondering how long it took some of you bandsters that have been banded for a longer time .i know we all lose weight at a diffrent pace but would like to have an idea of how long it takes to start losing weight on a regular basis? Thanks all 14cc large banders ,for the feed back i have and idea now. i will probable need at least 2-3 more fills and just be patient and keep up with my calorie counting and walking . Thanks tonyann

hey nan, good luck on your surgery !! i had mine july 9th and thanks for the info i will ck the web site, you pick a good date to be banded August 31st my Birthday ! LOL....you be just fine just follow Dr.orders and rest take it easy and dont rush your healing !!

hi nanu, i orderd the unjury unflavored protien powder a lrg container! ,it is horriable yuck !! i mixed it with crystal light added to sf/pudding it was still yucky any ideas on recipes !! thanks tonyann

hi ashmarie,i know the pain i have been banded 7wks and i still have occasional pain on my port area.i have heard it will hurt for awhile cause ur heeling from the inside out.the port pain has gotten better as time goes by,good luck on ur journey. tonyann

hi 333, same thing has happend to me twice after the 2nd time i learnd not to do it again lol .what i did was get on my treadmill walked 30 min and started burrping and that really help the pain .hope you feel better ! tonyann

Hey guys, can anyone tell me about alcohol and wine with lapband ? before getting banded I would only drink on special occasions just a glass or 2.i have not drank since i got banded,will it be diffrent after being banded? can any one tell me ? i am going on vacation sept,7th to hawaii for our 1st wedding anniversary and would like to have a drink or 2 .and info would be appreciated! thanks tonyann
