  1. I feel the same way. I'm 24days out and can't find anything to drink that taste good to me. I gave up my beloved diet coke and coffee. Tired of plain water, and all the vitamin waters taste to sweet. Bolthouse farms has some protein drinks that taste o.k. Can you drink diluted apple juice?
  2. Yaah! You can do this....
  3. Wish I could help, but i'm going through the same thing...Very frustrating! The weight is not coming off like I thought it would. I am losing inches, so I'll be thankful for that.
  4. Send you a friend request!
  5. Did you eat something before going to bed, that may have caused you to get sick? Are you running a temp? Could you be dehydrated? If your not better later, you may want to call your Doctor. Hugs and prayers being sent your way now.
  6. I signed up for fitness pal before surgery and never used it. Just started back, but haven't figured out how to navigate it yet. Will try tonight and add you!
  7. Wow! That's a miracle! You can't have a testimony without the test, and your Dad has certainly had his. Prayers for a speedy recovery for your Dad.

  10. Friends should lift you up, not bring you down! Truth is this person is not your friend. It's different if he was concerned for you health, but that's not what it sounds like to me. Surround yourself with people who love and encourage you daily!
  11. I'm now a follower of food porn..LOL! Thanks for the great recipes.
  12. Your doing great and you can do this! Remember, one day at a time.
  13. YAH!!! Good job!
  14. My IV site hurt for two weeks. The first IV they put in, started leaking fluids, so they moved it to a different spot on my wrist. That IV burned and became swollen and hot to the touch. Honestly, the IV hurt MORE than the surgery. After two weeks, the pain and swelling went away. I'd definitely call your Doctor. It may just take time to heal. Good luck!
  15. I'm 19 days post-op, self pay in Mexico. I was released from the hospital after 48hrs, and spent one more night at the hotel before leaving the next AM. I was a little sore, but not really in any pain. Our flight connected in Atlanta, and I was concerned I may have to have a wheelchair, but we had lots of time, and I felt like walking through the terminal. I can't really think of anything besides a blanket and pillow that you may need. Make sure you keep all of your meds in your purse, and don't pack them in your luggage.
  16. The only true pain I had was the first day in the hospital. After going home, i had pain from where my IV was, that last two weeks, GEESH!
  17. I've been drinking 1/2 decaf since week one, without any issues. One cup and I'm good for a few days. Funny, I use to drink 3 or more cups of regular coffee a day.
  18. Wow! That's fantastic. keep up the good work!
  19. Why do you still have a drain? Mine had to come before I left the hospital on day two. They really do things different in Mexico. That's very insensitive of your Doctor; no bedside manners at all. Prayers and hugs going out to you now!
  20. Life is too short to Worry about what others think! Go, have fun, enjoy your time with your daughter!!
  21. Sorry your not feeling well! You have to take a few weeks, and be SELFISH. You have to meet your needs FIRST, then once your feeling well, you can take care everyone, and other things. Are you taking anything for acid/gas? That should help with the nausea. When do you get to eat soft foods? If you can't drink Protein, then you need to start eating it as soon as your Doctor will allow. Find something that taste really good to you, and eat a little every couple of hours. Your Vitamins may be making you sick, try a different kind. Last, but most important, if your a person of faith, PRAY. It always works for me! p.s Talk to you Doctor, let him know what's going on. Sounds like you may be a little depressed.
  22. I had a drain and no nausea. Also had an IV for 47 hrs, and they kept it pumped with meds. I keep reading about those who hurt so bad, and are so sick. I feel terrible for them! I believe in the power of prayer, worked for me.
  23. Just curious, did you have a drain? I'm wondering if there is a connection to nausea and not having a drain to get blood out of your stomach.
  24. Sorry you feel sick. I can't believe they didnt give you something while in the hospital. They kept my IV loaded with anti-nausea meds, so i didn't feel sick at all.
  25. Keep up the good work! Rock those size 14 jeans!!!
