  1. This is my 3rd surgery date, but im happy because I got a earlier date. From July 2nd to June 28. I am super excited. I am now a May sleever.
  2. I'm having mine done at fast track weightloss center in Cincinnati with dr. Curry . I really like him and his staff. If I never had interest in the lapband then I would have seen your dr. Because I live less than a mile from there. Haha I'm glad all went well with you. And happy to hear of your weightloss. this time next year our lives will not be the same!
  3. Yay that is a blessing! Keep up the good work
  4. I'm 22 and having surgery July 2nd yeah and it is tough being young . Looking forward to truly living.
  5. Mk , This not related to your post but I got excited because you are using the mercy health in fairfield where I live and just wanted to say hello! I was going use them but I was wanting to use drcurry for lapband but changed to sleeve a few weeks ago. Anyways just got happy when I saw the Fairfield Ohio.
  6. Thanks ladies. Yeah it is great we are going though this together. I am even more happy that there is this website. It's like another family but a family of sleeves. We come from all over but yet we experience some of the same things and have the same goal--- weightloss. Feels nice
  7. Today i was with my mom at her consultation with Dr.Curry and the insurance lady told me my sister and I were approved. I was not expecting to hear that today. I was just there to support my mom. So glad my entire family is going through with this. July 2nd my sister and I are getting sleeved! I am thanking God for allowing all this to happen so far and plus we have started walking. I walked 1.85 miles yesterday and took longer than most but glad I did it.
  8. Thanks! Well I'm not sure what exactly the office sent it. I just know they have psych eval and BMI info. I am going to give insurance a call and see if all is covered. Im glad all worked out well for you.
  9. I have that insurance too. How long did it take for you? I just had my info submitted last Thursday. Congrats !!!
  10. Thanks for that. I will try to enjoy these moments too.
  11. Great job!! I can't wait to have before and after pictures.
  12. I have empire bcbs and my dr submitted it last Thursday. There is not a required diet and if you meet the BMI standards and have psych eval, then you should be golden. Now im waiting to hear from them. Hoping it won't be 30 days. I was told a few days to a week.
  13. Wow. ThAnks for all your responses. I didn't know most insurances did not cover the sleeve or it was cheaper in Mexico. Also some people just have that preference. I just joined yesterday after getting my surgery date and saw a lot of people talking about Mexico and thought maybe there was something I didn't know. Well I pray you all continue in great health.
  14. Seems like there are a lot of people going to Mexico for the sleeve surgery. Why is this?
