Dont come to Spartanburg SC... thats where I am and they are the SAME here... center for excellence maybe for the Dr's....NOT the office staff!!

Not doubt...I have to stay on them... got too many things depending on her to get her stuff straight and get me scheduled like she should....I am keeping on it!!

Maybe they dont understand what this means to us, or our families? If they have never had a weight issue then maybe they dont. But they shouldnt work in a n area where sensitivity is needed....if they dont have any! I have worked in the medcial field for 25 + years and NEVER have I treated a patient like they are not worth me helping...and having understanding of their situation. Everyone has a unique situation at times.... compassion goes a long way!

Oh dear Lord... I am a big girl but never have had big boobs!! So if I lose any in my boobs I will be completely flat chested...LOL!!! Wont mind saying good by to my back fat though!!

I was in no way being disrespectful of her, we work for the same hospital system, I would never talk to a coworker like she has to me! My Nurse Manager would have fired me on the spot! But for what ever reason she is acting this way, and she'll have to account for it....Karma is a b**ch sometimes. Maybe their other patients just arent doing the follow up as completely as I do? But this is important to me ... and I am not about to let her ruin my chance for a new life because shes a butthead! We'll see how today goes..... Thanks for all the support!

GIRL, I feel your pain! My dr's office is doing me the same way...dragging out what should be a very quick process now that they only had to put in a stupid date and I'd be approved and I can go to surgery and be DONE and not bother them anymore!! hope they help you soon!

I just talked to her again.... she finally revised my dates with Tricare...they will update within 24hrs (I talked to Tricare to make sure she did it). She and I had a very heated conversation as to why she has been treating me so poorly, seems it boils down to me working in the same hospital system as the Dr and being able to talk to him and explain my situation and him asking her to push it through for me. She said she doesnt like having to rush anything and I should have never asked that it be rushed and just let it take its course. She said she usually has 5 days to prepare a chart and she had to do mine in the same day.... guess she's pissed at me because he understands my reasons for needing to have surgery between certain dates..... not sure. Just hope I have very limited dealings with her after Monday!!

I hope everything gets resolved quickly for you and that things go forward as planned. I am having issues with my Dr's office over a different situation...but to be SO close and get this kind of issue pop up is heartbreaking! Hoping it's all good soon!

wow, I'd like to finally go to Carowinds with my hubby and ride all the coasters...he thinks I'm scared...but really I cant fit in the seats! And some color would be nice... I just looked down and noticed all I ever wear is black...with minimal color in it!

you know i have been big so long I dont know how to think about being a healthy smaller weight! But I suppose a nice new black dress would do the trick for me....a little eye candy for the hubby!!

I have had a hard time with my "surgery coordinator" ever since I completed my 3 month weight loss. She misinformed me about seening another person in the office prior to being submited to the "Board" for approval so I had to hurry and see her then get the approval from the "Board" and see the dr one day and have my EGD the next. I explained to my Dr and his NP and everyone in the office my need to complete the surgery by Aug 14th due to my starting back to school so I can keep my current position at my job... sad thing is I work for the same hospital system that is doing my surgery...and that owns my Dr's office!!! I had to beg her to submit everything to my Tricare last Thursday, she did it. They sent back yesterday and said the only thing they need to complete the approval is the actual dates of surgery/admission...which should be next MONDAY Aug 13th!! But she hasnt submitted it to them as of now....and I still have 2 office visits to get in and a hospital preop to do... I've been telling them for 4 and a half months my "deadline" and they've all agreed it could be done.... Now I dont know what to do??? I called her this morning...but she hasnt returned the call... should I call the office manager?? or keep calling her?? I am afraid this one butt is going to cause a big screw up for me!!!!

Tricare only needs my dr's office to put in the actual date of surgery/admission date and its approved! (Aug 13th)..... just hope I can get the surgery coordinator off her butthole attitude to put it in today and get my approval!! I have had a time with my dr's office since I finished my 3 months of weight loss!

oh I cant wait for that to improve! I am almost to the point of having to get Poise pads!!! Cant wait for it to go away!

My Dr's office turned everything in to Tricare on Thurs. Aug 2nd..... hoping to hear back by midweek with approval. Had my EGD yesterday, everythings in line and ready once the approval is given.... I am SOOO ready!! Hoping to hang on to my surgery date of Aug 13th!

I started my 2 week preop liquids today! I had about 2 weeks from my last weigh in until today so I've eaten all my favorites "for the last time".... as a matter of fact I am so ready for my liquid diet and to get my surgery I cant even think of eating anything else! I can honestly say I am sick of eating! I have been an emotional eater since...well, forever. I have been working on getting things in place to do instead of eat... like walk or exercise. It's working so far. I have slowly put everything in order in my head and house so I am, for the first time in my dieting life, setting myself up for success instead of failure. I am well on my way with this journey, looking forward to a new and much lighter lifestyle in the near future. Thanks to all who post and reply to others...I am reading, taking it in and using all that information to prepare! So... I'm ready!!

I have had two moments I was so embarrassed I could have died... My husband, who is not a small guy...but I do weigh about 100 lbs more than him....and I went to a local movie theater to see a movie he had really been wanting to see... we bought the tickets...went in and I couldnt fit in the seat. So he watched the movie without me while I went and explained to the manager who was nice enough to refund my ticket, I was so hurt that I had to leave my hubby behind!! Then my husband and I went to Carowinds and he had wanted to ride the new rollacoaster...we stood in line for over an hour and a half.... when we got up there I no where near fit in the seat...had to get off in front of hubby and everyone...I could have died! That ride snaps a photo as you go down the first hill, I hung it on our living room wall as motivation for me to get in shape and never miss out on doing things with him again!!.

I am so happy an excited for you! I start my preop liquid diet on Sunday... Surgery will be Aug. 13th (as of now). Best wishes for your surgery!!
