Also at about 5 months since lap band surgery, I have lost 37 pounds (SLOW but steady) still not sure I am at restriction / green zone; Exercise has helped the most with inches

I've lost 55lbs in 5 months. It's been slower this past month. I really don't exercise though. Sometimes I walk. I think the big key is LOW carbs/sugar!!!! I'm happy if it goes slow bc then the skin can keep up and not get too saggy. That's my goal anyway!!

Thanks for this post. I needed it today. To remind me of how far I have come. I, too, have hit my 50lb point. I hit it a month or so ago and have been on a plateau, letting Snacks creap back in. I haven't gained any but know I'm eating more carbs than Protein. I have been feeling down about it. I go to a support group once a month but don't have any "friends" with the band who "get" what I'm going through physically and emotionally. Reading your post reminded me of all I have been through to get to where I am today and how great I have done and how great I feel and how much I enjoy people telling me how great I look. Thanks so much!!

I'm sorry, but I don't understand. Perhaps you could fix the typos, spelling errors, and add some grammar and white spaces.

monica71 got a reaction from A.C.E of Hearts in Soda....,
Well the biggest issue I have with all this, as a LapBand newbie, is the conflicting info. My surgeon did not tell me not to drink soda. And I haven't heard anything about Peanut Butter until 6 months. My surgeon seems to be a kind of "well try it and see" kind of guy so I don't feel like I'm going against anything really. Like I said- all the conflicting info is hard to sort out. Just need to figure out how to make this tool work best for me

I think we have all gone through these emotions, this s a huge step. I did a lot of crying pre op and guess what, I feel better now. It is a journey, be patient with yourself. We are all in this together.

Yes. And prepare yourself for post op emotions as well. You will be feeling what you feel now and also be in pain. I'm still in quite a bit of pain 11 days post op. I'm optimistic it will end soon!! I just keep my eyes on the prize!!!

I'm 8 days banded and the pains from the gas are still killing me. Heating pad and walking are the only things that seem to help at all. Been sleeping in a recliner and last night was the first night I could sleep in my bed. It was heavenly! So I guess it's getting better. Can't wait for this air to get out of me!!!
