  1. So does the sleeve generally help depression?
  2. Is depression a side effect of the sleeve surgery? My mother suffers from depression in general and has been taking medications for it and has been doing pretty well. She got sleeved this past Wednesday and since the surgery she has been very depressed. Any ideas? Suggestions?
  3. I'm post op and I am having gallbladder problems... Having my gallbladder out soon. My symptoms were super sharp painful pains in the center of my chest right below my rib cage. Would come on suddenly. Would get clammy and hot and sweaty. The pain would/could last for hours. I have to take a heavy duty painkiller to help it. Consult with surgeon tomorrow to remove gallbladder I am five Months post op and have been having pain for 2 months. I have a stone (5.6 mm) and sludge.
  4. I agree. It took me to about 100 pound loss before I started to really notice. I had a 5x and feel I can still wear it and look fine but I also can wear some 2xs
  5. Thanks everyone! Yes I cut my hair because i was losing a lot of it... Wanted to try to make it less noticeable.
  6. Just wanted to put up some before and after. The first few are before and the next are after. Date of surgery: 4-24-12 370 lbs Today: 9-9-11 264 lbs

Congratulations! That is great! My menstrual cycle has been normal since surgery as well... Was very abnormal before hand... And I even bled for three months straight at one point.
  9. I am 4.5 months out and have been having pain for about two months. Have had tons of tests (including going under anesthesia twice) and they finally found a gallstone. I have to have my gallbladder out. The pain is unbearable, unless I catch it in time and take a heavy duty painkiller.
  10. You can do it! Keep your eye on the goal!
  11. I get very hungry around the time of month... And I can consume more. I also don't feel satisfied. Has happened every month since surgery. And I stall a little during my period. Then I get over it. I try not to worry about it too much.
  12. I have had a mostly Positve experience telling most people. I found that telling my coworkers actually took a lot of pressure off of me... And when they see me eating strange... They know why and don't question me. Perhaps I just work with a lot of good people (social workers). They would occasionally joke with me and ask me what I was having for lunch... A Water sandwich? But that was funny to me. Don't get me wrong... I have experiences some annoying things... Like a few select people are always asking me how much I have lost and what can I eat now... Asking me several times a week But most people are very supportive and positive
  13. 110 down in 4.5 months
  14. Update* I had another procedure this morning to check out my gallbladder. My sludge has turned into a stone and I need to have my gallbladder out. That's what has been causing the pain.
  15. I try to eat slow but I barely do. I know if I eat too fast I can very easily overeat... And then I don't feel good
  16. Just eating what I am supposed to. I do a little exercise... Although I should be and hope to do more Plus I started at 375 which was very high... I think the higher the weight the more you lose at first
  17. The other day at work a woman who I hadn't seen in months walked right past me and then came back and said hi and that she didn't even recognize me at first! Then today at a family BBQ everyone made it a point to tell me how great I looked! Down 110 pounds in 4.5 months The weight loss is slowing down... And I've encountered a few stalls... I think three. But I've gotten through them Silly me at today's BBQ I had like 8 ritz crackers and a spoonful of relish and three chunks of pineapple. I thought I was fine... But I ended up in the bathroom for a little... Note to self... Don't mess with crackers or pineapple again! But all in all a good day
  18. I did it! I love it! Not really styled here.... But I love it! Very short... Can't put up in ponytail.
  19. I do take biotin every day and have since before surgery
  20. Apples are good for us, right?
