  1. Thanks everyone! I hope that my story can be helpful to others... I still have head hunger and mess up sometimes... But I've been pretty successful thus far
  2. Pre Surgery Weight: 375 Day of Surgery 4-24-12: 370 Today 8-16-12: 276 down 99 lbs! These pictures are before surgery, and today.
  3. That's really great advice! Thanks And you are so true... I know it's head hunger because it's bad stuff I am craving. Thank you.
  4. Highest weight: 375 Day of Surgery: 370 4-24-12 Today: 276 -99lbs in 3.5 months
  5. I have been having bad head hunger... And have been giving into it to a point... How do I stop?!? I know I have to try and think about other things, and realize I didn't get this surgery and spend all this money to mess up... But what else can I do! ? Thanks
  6. I fit into Kohls clothes again (3x)!! Haven't been able to do this in years! I'm so excited!!!! Have to keep reminding myself not to buy too much because I hope to continue losing weight! Only bought two shirts... Although they ALL fit! Yay sleevie!
  7. I'm totally thinking about it!
  8. 1. I feel pretty good overall. I am having some gallbladder issues... Currently seeing doctors to figure all if that out. But besides that no issues. I haven't thrown up at all since surgery. My biggest thing is when I eat something I shouldn't (high in fat or sugar) I get diahrhea (sp). 2. My experience has been very good. Besides the gallbladder issue its been very easy. I have had a stall here and there (especially around my period) but that is normal. I also am losing hair... But that is normal as well. 3. If I could change anything I would like to have been more informed by my doctors about gallbladder issues. I did a lot of research and attended all appointments but somehow the gallbladder issue never came up. I am now on actigal but I know a lot of people are prescribed that to take right away... I wish I had it to prevent the gallbladder problems... Not to treat it afterwards like I am. 4. What don't I miss? I don't miss my life revolving around food. Now don't get me wrong... I still think about it a lot and I deal with head hunger A LOT! But my body is never starving. I can do a lot more now that I've lost weight. I feel somewhat more outgoing... I can fit into more chairs. I can lick my toe (I know... Disgusting but I just had to try!). I can clean myself better. I can walk with NO back pain. So many things. Hope this helps!
  9. Hello, I am posting some before and after pics starting weight - 375 today's weight - 277 date of surgery 4-24-12 first two pics are my wedding day - 2/19/11 last two pics are me in the same wedding dress today 8-9-12 not posed the same way in the pics...but there is a very big difference
  10. I'm three months out and if anything it has improved our marriage at this point. My husband is still free to do whatever he wants... Meaning im not letting my surgery change him. He eats what he wants and we still go to restaurants he wants. Plus he sees my sef esteem and sense of self worth increase so I think he is happy because of that. In addition with the more weight I lose and the more time that passes, he realized its that we are just that much closer to tryin to conceive, we both really want children I still cook his regular meals and we still have sex just as often as before... Things are good. More energy. More sex positions (tmi?).
  11. Who just bought themselves a 3x shirt after wearing 5x's for the last few years? This girl did! Oh yeah! Who can fit into a size 26 pants... After wearing 34's? This girl does!!! So I've lost about 95 pounds... I believe I am in a stall now, however I am still losing inches... Not that I've measured but clothes are fitting better! Yay!

  13. About one hour after surfery (after getting out of recovery room) I was up and walking. Very minimal pain. Was able to walk on my own and walk a lot. I actually went back to work one day earlier than planned. I had some slight gas pain but very little. I only took a painkiller once at home after surgery. While in the hospital I did get shots of morphine and they worked wonders. Good luck
  14. When i put on a pair of my usual pants the other day and they would stay up because they were too big. Darn! Lol
  15. Why do good people have to get sick and die? My mother in law who is only 49 has been in the hospital for about a month... Can't move her legs or hands, had a perforated Colon requiring immediate surgery. Now she has septic shock... It's not looking good. I know this has nothing to do with the sleeve but why do bad things happen to good people?!
  16. Yeah. I didn't know this before surgery. And I'm still in the process of diagnosing if it really is my gallbladder and then what they are going to do to fix it. They think some of the gallbladder sludge may have gone into my liver... As my liver function is down a little. Just went for more blood work today to check liver function I'll update this when I get some results I also have a toothache and my cheek is all swollen. Lucky me.
  17. Did you all know about possible gallbladder issues after having this surgery? Apparently when you have rapid weight loss... It can create gallbladder issues... Which I am having. I have to have two procedures in the hospital To determine If they are in fact going to remove my gallbladder... And I'm on another medication. Would you still have the surgery if you knew you were going to have gallbladder problems? I would still have it... But it sucks!
