  2. Congrats!! I just approved today also. I have to call my doctors office on Monday because I called BCBS IL today before close of business. I just couldn't wait a week. I got approved in 2 days!!!! So looking forward to my new life. :D
  3. Thanks for responses I really hope it's only a week lol. I'm going to hold out and call next Thursday that will be a week exactly.
  4. Ok, I called BCBS IL and was told that the papers were received yesterday, 6-20-12, for review and approval! I am freaking out! I am sooooo tired of this overweight ride that I can jump off and puke! First I was waiting to finish the testings and waiting for results. Next came the waiting for the doctor to review the folder and submit to the insurance company. Now, I'm biting my nails waiting for approval. OMG! I nervous and I'm scared and I'm excited all at the same time. Should I call back tomorrow and see if it's approve? The CSR told me that they will mail me a approved or denied letter, I can't wait for snail mail! Ok, I'm going to wait until next Tuesday, 6-26-12. #omgnervous.com
  5. I am waiting for insurance approval and then I will be getting banded at Loyola. Who's your surgeon? I have Dr. Sarker?
  6. I live in Maywood, not too far from you. Where did you get banded?
  7. In the meantime, has anyone that has not started a pre-op, taken the initiative to lose weight on their own? Like I for some reason can't seem to get focused to eat right and workout but I know once I am banded I am going to be so excited that I'm just gonna kick right into gear. I know it sounds sad but I'm just speaking my truth lol. Everyday I am planning to eat right starting "tomorrow' and I never do. I guess I feel like I've been so unsuccessful w/o the band that I can't find the motivation to lose on my own. I have failed countless times in the past and I don't think I can face that again.
  8. I've complete everything and I'm waiting on approval & a date. I definitely know how you feel.
  9. Congrats on making the decision! Welcome!
  10. I have completed all of my tests and appointments and now I am waiting on the Surgeon to review my folder and then send to insurance for approval. My Surgeon received the folder on last Wednesday, so hopefully it's been submitted to insurance. I don't know, maybe they call and tell me it's being submitted?!? I'm just ready for a date so I can know how to plan. I really want to start buying pre/post op necessities but, I don't want to jinx it. What are some of the things that you have done to take your mind off of "the wait"? Please help! I'm ready!!!!!!!!!! lol
  11. My LBT theme is now different on my desktop! It looks just like my wireless app. I cannot see my ticker or anything html. Please help me change it back if possible.
  12. Hi! West suburbs & waiting in a approval & a date.
  13. No we are all here to support each other & its ok if you don't know them.
  14. For some reason on my desktop at home, my LBT looks like my cellphone app. Can anyone help with that?
  15. Oh and I forgot, your insurance info also.
  16. I went to a seminar at NW and you just need a pen and maybe a pad of paper. If after or during the seminar you decide to go w/NW for the WLS, you can fill out the application while you are there so that you can get a headstart. They give you a purple folder w/a list of names and numbers of team memebers so that you may start to make appointments. On the application will be questions about medical history and also medicines that you have taken. There is a page that ask you to list all the diets you have tried in the past. Not intimidating but to be prepared have that info with you only if you want to fill out the application and turn it in while your there.
  17. Oh wow! I wish all I needed was just two visits. I'm done with all tests now on Wednesday I have to go and see a pulmonary specialists so that she/he can review my tests with me. If everything is a go, then all paperwork will be sent in to BCBSIL!!!! Congrats! I hope I'm a June bandster but I can settle for July.
  18. I'm not sure of how long it takes to get approved I have one more appointment to go and then the papers will be submitted. If you need proof of a medically supervised diet and the office went to is now closed I would ask my doctor or the insurance specialist what options you may have. Sorry I didn't need proof so I can't help you with that. It is a wealth of info on this site, get comfy and spend a few hours on here and trust me you will find your answer. Good luck and welcome!
  19. See below. Good luck on your journey!
