There are soo many that I have..First of all would be shopping in the regular dept of stores no more plus size, being able to buy a shirt and it not have an X in the size, being comfortable in my own skin again, not feel bad when my hubby see's me naked. I just look forward to feeling like a 27 year old and not a 50 year old! good luck everyone!

Im on 10-12 start pre op diet tomorrow and getting nervous. Would love to meet people to talk about surgery and what not.

Hey my name is Breeanne and I an also a stay at home mommy but mine is 14 months and I also have a six year old. My Dr submitted my paper work last Wednesday so I am just waiting too. I don't really know about the Vitamins I take two adult gummy vitamins. I'm sure I will find out more when I go back for pre op appointment. I have had a hard time with the no drinking when eating.I think the reason they say not to eat and drink at the same time is that the liquid pushes the food through the pouch instead of it staying there for a while giving you the full feeling. I passed my psych evaluation yesterday and gi for nutrition consult on the 28th of June. I am really looking forward to finally getting all of thus done so that I can finally win the battle of weight loss.

I had my surgery may 31 St and lost 17lbs so far but the wreight loss slows after a while. I exersize an hour everyday and never eat more than 500 calories. Everyone is different and I will not be discouraged! Hang in there

I am doing well. I know what you mean about the compression garment. It is not comfortable but at this point but I would be more uncomfortable without it.
I quit cold turkey. The surgery seemed so scary I didn't want to do anything to mess it up. I just hope I don't start back. I wasn't a real heavy smoker but I did smoke everyday. It was hard to quit.

Every doctor has different "ok" to have on the liquid diet phase. you will be suprized at how you body can adapt if you keep hydrated with water/crystal light and make sure to eat 3 1/2 cup servings of low fat/fat free cottage chesse daily that really helped me from just loosing it you know. You can have all the suggar free pospicles, Jello, green tea, and broths you want. So I always had a warm mug of something in my hand. After day four you will adapt somehat and it won't seem so bad.
When my family set down to eat supper I'd just quietly take a glass of icewater or beverage of choice and go up to my room and read for atleast 30 or so minuittes until I knew that supper was overwith. This is a very hard part of the journey but it's essential for surgery. Trust me hunger will dissapear durring this phase, just keep well hydrated.

Robbie thank you so much! I have not been tested for apnea, maybe I will look into that! My husband tells me I do snore a lot and I often wake up tired like I haven't had enough sleep even after 9+ hours in bed. I know what you mean, prevention is the key! I don't have my appt with my PCP until 9/9, wish is was sooner, I am so ready to get this journey started! Keep me updated on your progress with Kaiser! Good luck!!!!

I can understand where you are coming from. My dad all my life has told me that if I loose the weight he would buy me a new wardrobe. That has stuck with me since I was little. I keep on telling my mom that I just want to look "normal" but actually what is considered normal these days? I know I should be happy with the way I look but i'm not, so I am going to do something about it!

Ok so its really kinda funny, i was at my daughters softball game, and i was holding a bunch of stuff walking to my car when........... my underwear fell off inside my pants! ROTFL, you couldnt see that they sliped down, but i had a big grin on my face lol

my name is Breeanne and i am 27 years old. im a stay at home mommy of a 5 year old and 9 month old little boys. i have been over weight my entire life and im on the road ti changing that for good. i started my journey on march 16th and my insurance requires the 6 month visits, psych eval, and meeting with nutrition person. i am looking at either August or September hopefully. i have a wonderful support system with all of my famiky and especially my husband. i am looking to lose 100 to 115 pounds. i will be having surgery in charleston wv. i would love to find some buddies to keep myself in check.
