Ok - I was banded on 4/17/07.. I lost 20 lbs pre op(4/2 - 4/17) and I have lost 20 lbd since surgery (4/17 -5/15). I feel like I can't loose anymore - I walk 30 min a day and I watch what I eat. I go for my fill on 5/24.. Is the weight that I have lost a good number or a slow number??? Help!!!!:help:

yeah I lost 10 lbs the 1st post when I was on liquids - then I went to mushie and in 2 weeks I have only lost another 6 lbs

I was on a liquid /protein diet for 2 weeks

My diet seems more - 2 weeks liquid before - 1 week after and 5 weeks of mushie foods!!! But I have 2 1/2 more weeks to go - I'm hangin in there

man i got to eat ornage flavor sugar free pops and no problem

do you guys add your 2 week pre op weight loss to your total lost ??

YEAH MY DOC PUT HIS PATIENTS ON A 1 WEEK liquid DIET AND THEN A 4 WEEK pureed DIET AND THEN WEEK 6 YOU CAN START ON SOFT FOODS BANDED 4/17/07

I REMEMBER FISH BEING ON MINE ALSO -BUT MUST BE pureed WITH LIQUID- BUT I LIKE MASHED POTATOES AND I TAKE MY FAVORITE MINESTRONE Soup FROM THIS ITALIAN RESTARUANT AND BLEND IT - NOW THAT IS GOOD.. BANDED 4/17/07

MY SHARP PAINS FINALLY WENT AWAY ABOUT 9 DAYS AFTER SURGERY. I'M ON MY WAY!!!! I was banded on 4/17/2007 and oh boy I have those same pains mostly on my right side - and every day or so I will role over and oh Boy here comes the gas - it was so loud it scared more poor cat off of my bed but man did I feel better and today it's back again bad but I just try to deal with it cause my doctor said it is the CO2 working it's way out of my diaprahm and stomach - Gas X does not work for me - So I guess I will be patient

they told me no at first also - So I went to the Hospital where the lap band group is that do the insurance contacting and my Insurance told them I was covered - So instead of u calling have the Gastric division that you are going though call 4 you. They approved me within 5 min and I have UHC Choice plan - I was banded on 4/17/07

I have never heard of anyone dying but I have heard that if you way to big of pieces of food they can get stuck but all you would have to do is go the dr office or hospital and they will lossin the band so the food can go down

:help: i need help i had my band put on on the 17th of this month and since i got home from the hospital theis gas pain is bad and gas ex only helps a little any suggestions????????:help:

My Lap Band surgery is in 9 days and I seem to be getting more and more nervous. Easter was really hard on the liquid diet but I have 1 little bite of turkey and then I drank my shake. Yeah I made it through the day:omg:

i'm not sure all i know is my doctor and the place where i am having the surgery said they would handle it all. I have high blood pressure- fatty liver - asthma and have tried every diet aout there over the past 15 years - i have been overweight since i was 10 or 11

I Am Getting Prepared For Surgery - I'm Going To He Seminar On March 7th, I Called Uhc (epo Choice Plan) Asked If I Was Covered For The Lap Band And They Said No. So I Wasnt Taking That Answer I Called Back And Asked If Surgery For Morbid Obeisity Were Covered Under My Plan And She Said Yes Which One I Said The Lap Band And She Said Yes You Are Covered We Just Need A Letter Or Pre Determination From Your Doctor - So There Is Hope Call Back And Check Again And Make Sure You Always Get The Persons Name.
