  3. Drink some pineapple juice or some canned pineapple. It will help it slide through and digest.
  4. I've been drinking one 6 oz can of pineapple juice daily since week 2-3. I'm almost 5 weeks now. It helps settle my stomach at night and I'm losing quite fast too.
  5. My doctor said I had 'plastic surgery type incisions' and that I could swim in 10 days. But to be safe, 2 weeks.

  7. You need to drink more and get some anti nausea medicine if needed. You should be getting 20-30 oz a day minimum. I was getting 25 and still ended up dehydrated and in the hospital at 8 days post op after I nearly passed out. You need fluids!
  8. My dizziness was hydration induced. Make sure you are drinking enough!

  10. I had nausea the day of surgery and the next day. By the 2nd day, it was much better. Now, 11 days post-op I get nauseated occasionally but the medicine really cuts it out when it hits. I think mine was mostly from anesthesia at first.

  12. Are you used to drinking caffeine? Sounds like caffeine withdrawal. I quit caffeine about a week before my pre-op diet because I didn't want both misery together.

  14. I was sleeved at 8:00 Thursday (yesterday) morning. I still haven't got to drink anything however experience a lot of nausea and dry heaving every time I stand up. Is this normal? I've been walking quite a bit. Also, I have burning in my chest. Kind of heart-burnish. I'm on Pepcid every 12 hours. I feel a little better each hour, but not good yet by any means.

  20. I'll definitely pray! The only thing that really worked for me was resigning from my job. I work part time now but I understand that's not an option for most people. It killed me to sit still for 8+ hours a day at work. Hang in there....
  21. The only thing that helped me was reducing stress and staying active, as contradicting as that sounds. The chiropractor helped a little too. The prescription meds made me too sick so I had to discontinue them. I'd try to stay away from Aleve since I think you'll have to discontinue that a week or two before surgery?

  23. I am scheduled for surgery next Thursday (Yippee!). I'm trying to wean off caffeine in advance (diet soda) but I have the WORST headache ever. I had a whole soda yesterday. Today I started getting a terrible headache and had a half of a soda. But it's STILL there... any tips? I feel miserable from this stupid headache!
