  1. Same here... If I eat too much I start sneezing uncontrollably... I am one who hardly sneezed pre op. But I noticed that I only start sneezing if I combine food and liquid and overstuff myself

  5. Sleeved on 5/17.... Started pre op 30 days before surgery... 420 starting weight... 360 surgery day and current weight is 335 lbs... It feels great... Long way to go though.
  6. You will not be disappointed... Jessica.... Who you will meet is so sweet and your sister will be in great hands... Had my surgery there two weeks ago today.. Everthing will be fine
  7. I'm only 11 days post op and not gonna lie... I'm having a cup of coffee right now reading your post.. I'm drinking it slow of course and it is getting colder by the sip.. but it is still good. no problems.. this is my second cup.. I had my first cup on friday with no problems..
  8. felt the same way after surgery.... but by about day three I started to feel better as each hour passed.. 10 days post op now and no pain at all from surgery..
  9. I was on my pre op liquid diet for 30 days due to a high bmi.. I lost 51 pounds on it.. If I could do it anyone can... I just told myself that I was not gonna go down there and have them tell me they can't do the surgery because my liver didn't shrink enough... remember that is possiable for them to tell you that.. that is what kept me motivated... and the bad part is they won't know until they cut into you.
  10. I flew to San Antonio and a two hour dirve to mexico to have my surgery and was on a plane back home three days later... four hour flight with no problems at all...
  11. started my pre op diet on 4/17 and Weighed in at 420.. had my surgery on 5/17 and wighed 362 and this morning stepped on the scale and down to 341.. I hope I'm not losing too fast.. lol
  12. Well my sister says you're in for a real treat... Even I must say that him and his assistant surgan do dress to impress.... They were well dressed in suits when they came around for there visits to us... Looked as if they were making their rounds then off to a fancy night club... Lolday three post op and feeling better every minute... The whole experience with doctor A.. And his staff is 100% first class... I wouldn't have changed a thing.. Excellent experience.
  13. When I hit that stage I'm thinking of trying baby food.. Starting with stage 1 and working up to stage 3
  14. Sleeved by the doc today at 10:30.. Everthing was so wonderful... Very little pain... They are coming in every two hours and pumping me full of men's for pain and nausea.. He and his staff are first class all the way... Not one complaint... Was nervous at surgery time but was our like a light before they wheel me out my room... My sister said I was yelling bring the camera heading down the hall way to the or... Lol. Woke up back in my bed with no pain or nausea.. What a great day and experience. Good luck to the ones upcoming
  15. Rosie came and got us in San Antonio today and here we are on the border in Eagle Pass, Texas. I was able to speak with a patient she brought up and they said everything was wonderful... Kinda helps me feel better... They put us up in a holiday Inn express here in eagle pass... Everthing first class so far... Ready to get tomorrow over with..
  16. Marylander hear as well... In san antonio right now heading to Mexico for surgery Thursday morning with Dr. Alvarez.. Self pay and Johns Hopkins Bayview way too expensive..

  18. I sure did.... Who knew losing weight would be this easy lol.. Gonna make surgery look like a piece of cake.... Uh probably shouldn't have said cake...
