Now I Could Use Some Advise.

I have the lap band and plication. So far, so good. I had my surgery April 17 and I'm down about 26 pounds. The tool is working, but my brain is another story. The emotional eating is something I am still working on. Some days are better than others. I would do the surgery again tomorrow if I had to.

    4 Months After Surgery

Great job! I'm inspired to go get a workout in this evening. I was thinking about taking a pass, but after reading your post I've changed my mind. Thanks for posting.

    Helllooo Anyone There?

I had my surgery on April 17th and I got my first fill today. I'm tracking everything, but once I started working out a bit more, I was getting hungry between meals. I was a little concerned that my dr would want the plication to hold me over longer, but he suggested the fill.
  4. I just had my first fill today. Not bad at all! :) So far I'm down 22 pounds (15.5 pounds since my surgery date of 4/17/12) Now that I feel good, I sometimes "forget" I had the surgery until I swallow until I'm painfully reminded.

  5. I was rather out of it the evening of my surgery. I wasn't really in pain, but I just wanted to sleep. I was up and around a little bit more the next day, but I really took it easy for about 5 days.
  6. Thanks for posting these tips. I'm just starting this journey and I know these reminders are going to help me stay on track.

    Abdomen Pain

I was having the same kind of pain and I've definitely noticed that it is a lot less if I cut back on the sugarfree stuff. I wasn't paying attention to the Crystal light and that in itself was giving me a wicked stomach ache. I hope you feel better.

    Help!

The heating pad on my back and shoulder saved me! I didn't get these pains until almost a week after my surgery. Try heat.

    Devastated...

That does not seem to make sense. I think you need to find a new surgeon. Don't give up now.

    Surgery In The Morning

Good luck to you tomorrow. I am one week and one day out since my surgery and today I feel awesome. I hate to give advice, but here goes. Listen to your body and rest, rest, rest. I really talked myself into thinking I'd be up and running in two days and I think I overdid it. I wasn't miserable all the time, but I got overtired and then I felt really bad. When I really started sleeping, taking my pain meds on a schedule (I kind of forgot to take them because I didn't think I felt that bad) I woke up this morning and thought well alright, this is going to be just fine. Let your body heal and you will be great. Let us know how you're doing.

    Scrub Up...its About That Time!!!

I just had my surgery last week and the gas pain was weird. It hurt but it wasn't there all the time and a heating pad kicked the pain to the curb. I was a bit skeptical, but now at day 6 I'm feeling better and better. You will be fine, just plan for your recuperation and rest. It really does help. Good luck Woodie!
  14. Great post! I had my surgery on April 17th and I have also had a rough few days. I feel much better today, but I am so tired. I'm going to try some of the GNC shakes. Thanks again.
  15. I had my surgery on Tuesday and I am feeling aweful. I'm having a hard time getting water in and I think everything is going right through me. Any suggestions for the first few post op days?
