Well it has been a busy 4 months. I just had a follow up visit and have lost a total of 65 pounds since surgery! I am currently at 237.5 lbs. This has been such an incredible journey and I have no regrets about having lap band surgery. Not only do I feel a 1000 times better but I am no longer on medication for high blood pressure and I am once again able to enjoy the activities that I once loved. So I have been on the liquid diet for 9 days now. My surgery is schedule for Monday and I am ready to go. I have come to terms with the fact that having surgery does not mean that I am a failure or that I was not doing what I needed to in the past. It is just another tool available to me to work toward a healthier life. I am blessed with a wonderful support group and am grateful for this blog.
