  2. ORIGINAL MESSAGE: Goal #1 HW 221.5 SW 210 CW 195.5 Goal 179.5 (16 lb loss, 4 lb/week) Goal #2 start Couch 2 5K in June and sign up for my town's 5K in September! RESULTS: Goal #1. CW: 183.5 - down 12 lb, 4 lb from goal. Goal #2. Starting week 5 of Couch to 5K & already mailed my registration for a 5K in September
  3. I had the roughest scaly elbows as well. I'm 7 weeks post-op and they are nice & soft Its not because of an increase in fat for me at least, I've been averaging 30-40 grams a day, and had way more than that pre-op.
  4. I'm a may sleever - melissadavon
  5. UPDATE: I am now 186, so I've lost 9.5 lb since the start of the challenge and I've got 6.5 lb left to make it to my goal and a week and a half to do it in I guess I'm actually right on target for the 4 lb a week loss. I had a 10 day stall in the middle of this, so that didn't help, we'll see how it goes by then, I'm probably due for another stall soon lol. Oh, goal #2 - I started C25K and just completed W3 D1 this morning and already sent my paperwork in for the 5K in September. Loving it! I'm almost 30 lb lighter than the last time I did C25K 5 years ago. 6. I am almost 5 weeks post-op and I only have about 5% of my closet left. We had a garage sale last week & I sold all my clothes for cheap. The rest went to Goodwill. I went to the last day of a church sale 2 weeks ago & got 3 huge lawn sized garbage bags full of clothes to last me till I get to goal. Jeans sizes 2-16 & shirts sizes XS-L. All for 6 bucks lol. Some of it is super cute too, I just can't imagine ever fitting into most of it. I separated it out into a "small" bag in the back of my closet, a "medium" bag in front of that & I washed all the 12's-16's to wear now I'm just lacking in XL shirts for right now.
  7. I'm going to Schlitterbahn Wednesday and I'm wearing a size 14 swim suit lol that was way too small last year. Not sure why I even had it, I maybe accidentally picked it up at a garage sale or something. Lucky me now though I have wore a 14 in maybe 12+ years!
  8. My first challenge as well. I'm 2.5 weeks out, so not sure if my goal is doable or not, but I'll try! Pre-op diet weight 221.5 SW 210 CW 195.5 Goal 179.5 (16 lb loss, 4 lb/week) Goal #2 start Couch 2 5K in June and sign up for my town's 5K in September!
  9. I'm not afraid of stall I don't think....I'm expecting them & soon too. I'm afraid of something more permanent. I guess, like a lot of us, I'm just afraid that this won't work for me & be just another failure in a long line of failures. No reason for it though. I'm doing great right now, it's just a worry at the back of my mind.
  10. Mommyinneed, no I didn't have an infection. I was just being a worry wart. 2 weeks out now, just started on mushies & doing great. I had my doc look at it and she said it looked normal and I said are you sure? Lol, I'm the type who needs something to worry about. I was somewhat dehydrated (from my trip home) which led to an electrolyte imbalance & low heart rate, but that was easily fixed with Gatorade & 100 oz of Fluid for 4 days straight. Now I'm just worried that one day this wonderful, wonderful weight loss will end & reverse itself like it has so many times before. It just seems too good to be true....but like I said I need something to worry about Hope you are all better, or getting there! That doesn't sound like it was fun at all.
  11. Have you tries eggs yet? We're going camping tomorrow & it's on my menu
  12. I've been thinking that as well. If every doc has a different plan, that tells me that no one really knows what is best, so why listen to one over another? I haven't started mushies yet, tomorrow was supposed to be my day but I'm thinking of trying some soft string cheese today, or maybe roast beef hash (been following The World According to Eggface's blog), we'll see. Everything so far has went down fine, but I've mainly been having Protein shakes, yogurt & milk. Seems to be the easiest way for me to get in my protein - I'm trying for a minimum of 50 grams a day.
  13. I guess I should say 4 weeks instead of 2 since that included pre-op dieting as well
  14. Doing great! Down from 221.5 to 197.5, 24 lb! Went from size 18/20 to a 16. All in 2 weeks today. It's amazing, I keep waiting to wake up from the dream & gain all my weight back lol but I guess that's never going to happen! And you? I know you've already lost 30+, maybe more by now. How's your food going?
  15. I was sleeved on May 15 & so far I lost about 12 lb pre-op & 2 post-op so 14 total. I got a little dehydrated while out of town & retained a lot of Water that I'm just now getting rid of. The dehydration (we think) caused a low heart beat - mine was rangin from 40-50 whereas normal is 60-100 (I'm normally in the 70's) and that was slightly scary, but I'm back up in the normal range now. I also think that one of my incisions is slightly infected, maybe a small absess underneath, but I'm seeing a doctor for that tomorrow & we'll see. Otherwise, I'm feeling great. I didn't realize how swollen up my legs were. They were skinny before, but now they are loose & even skinnier. My wrists are smaller and my face looks thinner My tummy is still swollen though.
  16. Ooh I have some PB2! Haven't tried it yet, but I will soon. Thx for the suggestion!
