    WTF is going on?

Your body is still adjusting and needs time to heal. My vitamin and sugar levels didn't get back to within normal range until I was 6 months post-op. It's difficult to not want or expect immediate results after having a life changing major surgery. But our bodies don't operate on the same time table as our minds and needs time to catch up. Your lab results are not abnormal for someone two months post-op. Hang in there, work hard, take your vitamins and supplements and stay positive. Give your body some time to recover from the major changes it is going through. It will get better. Keep your chin up.

    Stalling too early!

Your body is adjusting and needs time heal. The best thing you can do for yourself is to put the scale away and focus on getting in your protein. Your weight is going to fluctuate as you lose/retain water, put on muscle from exercise etc. Stepping on the scale everyday does more harm than good. Hang in there and trust that if you make smart choices regarding food, protein and exercise, the weight will come off. You can do it!

    scared of failure

Congratulations on recieving your date! You always have someone to turn to on these forums, that is what we are here for! All the fears you are feeling are totally normal. You will do great! Just remember that you are doing this to live a longer, healthier and happier life. What other people think of you is not important. How you feel about yourself is what matters. Do what makes you happy. All of those people don't have to live in your skin. Let their insecurities be their problem. Make smart choices when it comes to food and excercise and you will see results. This surgery sets you up to be successful and you can do it! The first few weeks are the toughest, once you get through the emotional stuff, let rest fits into place. Congratulations and Good Luck on your journey!

    Frothing

Sliming is different than the frothing. I had slimed once after eating too fast two weeks post op, you get slimy spit that comes up from your stomach which is slick, not bubbly like the froth. however the frothing was a near constant from about 6 weeks out when I became very ill. I spent 6 weeks ill until I finally went to the ER, 6 days later I had my gallbladder removed. From the day after my gallbladder was removed to this day 2 months later I have not had the frothing at all. I don't know what the relation is if any, but it is odd.
  11. I've had 4 MRIs since surgery.. No problems!

Michigan Barix Clinics Dr. Jamokay Taylor

Dr Taylor is a wonderful surgeon. He did my sleeve 15 weeks ago and removed my gallbladder last week. All of the Barix staff is wonderful. Mila and Barb were my favorite nurses and Carla, Tim and Helen are great PCA's.
  13. At three months post op I made a trip to the ER after three days of vomitting nonstop. Turned out to be sludge in my gallbladder. Six days bedridden and I am finally home but my legs and a portion of my stomach are completely numb and I can't bear weight on my left leg. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I go see my pcp tomorrow to get an MRI but I just want to know if anyone else has gone through this.

Congratulations on your loss! Keep up the good work!
  15. I'm going through this now 9 wks post op. I feel pukey all the time and have gotten in under 100 calories per day for the last 6 days. Just making sure to drink my 64 oz of water, take my vitamins, not cry too much and have faith that this will pass. Here's hoping this rough patch passes quickly for you and you're feeling better soon!

    Tomatoes Soup

Tomato soup contains a lot of sugar and tomatoes are very acidic. Acid can cause ulcers and an ulcer is the last thing you want with a sleeve.
