Squisha got a reaction from charliesangelnumber2 in Awwwww....you Don't Need That Surgery. You Aren't Big Enough.
I have told everyone, friends, family, random strangers. I have recieved nothing but postive feedback from everyone I told. The only people I haven't told are my husband family because they have been super critical and judgemental of my weight in the past. We will see my husbands mom for the 1st time in 5 years in June and I will be 15 months out. I have no intention of telling her just gonna tell her it was diet and exercise.

I was sleeved at 33, i have been looking into WLS since my early 20s but never had insurance to cover it and couldn't afford to pay myself. I wish I could have been sleeved younger, and 70 to 100 lbs lighter.

I have a 12 year old daughter, she did (is) adjusting very well. She had 1 small break down because she missed all the junk in the house, but we talked and she also wants to lose some weight, and so she is glad that I am now making healthier meals. I am so glad I did this now while she is still young.

Squisha got a reaction from chad2rad in Eating Only Twice A Day?
I was told 4-6 small meals every 3-4 hours. At 7 months out I couldn't get even close to my Protein goal if I only ate 2 meals. Are you supposed to be using a Protein Shake as a meal?? The first 5 1/2 months I had a protein shake as my Breakfast.< /p>

    1) you could be ok, but better off with 2 weeks. I felt fairly good after a week, but sooo happy to have 2 in order to focus on new way of "eating" & getting fluids in.
    2) spend the night @ hospital so they can monitor you. This is MAJOR surgery.

My doctor doesn't recommend the lap bad with a BMI of over 35, but says at a BMI of 54 i was a good canidate for either the sleeve or the by pass. I didn't want a bypass because of the malabsorbstion issues. at 6months I am down from 407 to 311, and couldn't be happier about my choice.

It's never to soon to ask someone what sent they are wearing. I have been known to ask an occasional stranger what they are wearing if i really like a scent.

I am 6 months out, I have no buyer remorse, the sleeve was the best thing I have ever done for myself. No depression though I have had a few days , crying for stupid reasons or no reason, last for 30 min to an hour and then I am fine again. I've heard that part is from the hormones being released as you lose weight.

I'm a vertically challenged person, standing at a whopping 5'3", but I make up for it horizontally (lord do I ever!) tipping the scales at 321 lbs!!! but I did want to comment on these 180 lbs people having the surgery. First of all I don't think they even need it at that weight! I mean seriously what are they thinking?! Secondly I wonder if they all are private pay because they dont, or shouldnt anyways, meet insurance requirements. And lastly do you suppose that these 180 lbs people are the ones that have more complications with their sleeve, simply because it was an un-necessary surgery in the first place? I honestly wonder about that but never have the gull to ask them.

I was told you couldn't damage your sleeve from plain Water. It moves out too quickly. I get discomfort if i drink too much in too short a time frame but it usually resolves its self in 10 or 15min.

I know a couple people in my support group that are vegetarian and vegan, i know they got all of there Protein from non meat sources, they talk about lots of Beans. I do know 1 of them at 17 months out still drinks 1 Protein Drink to make sure she gets all her protein.

Neither popcorn nor ANY food can get stuck in the staples! Not possible.
The staples are done on the outside of the stomach and the sleeve looks like a pillow case would if you sewed it from the outside. IE no evidence of staples. In fact, a doctor will not be able to see your staples through an endoscopy for that reason.
