  1. Yeh if u have insurance that pays 80% i dont think theres anyway u would have to pay that much.... I work for an insurance company...call your insurance and ask them what your yearly out of pocket is!! If they something like 5000 or even less then thats all the OOP you would pay...i think u may be understanding it wrong..im curious to know what u find out!

Thnks everyone now i know what bandster hell means lol, i really appreciate the feed back..im hoping to be banded in May beginning June at the latest, im so ready i have been reading up on this for years and this site is so helpful..so much information i know what to expect and whats to come im so motivated and ready to see my new self!!!

  8. Yeh they will bill insurance companies more, even though they dont get what they billed for.

Hi Lulu, im not banded yet either but i started my journey in Nov of 2011 only because i was required to do a 6 month supervised diet required by my insurance...my last one was May 10 this year..so now my advocate will be faxing my paperwort to my insurance..so it really depends on what your insurace requires...so for looks like i will be banded by end of may beginning of June..so thats how long the process takes again it depends on your insurance and the place were your r getting it done..hope this helps.

  13. I guess i am really getting nervous because my paper work will be submitted to my insurance Friday i have cigna..anyone denied because of weight gain while on the six month supervised diet??
  14. Im not banded yet im hoping for May. ive been reading alot, looks like its taking people at least 2 weeks to really feel able to go back to work...really have to give yourself time i heal..
  15. Hi i have been up and down with my weight loss while during the 6 months weight managment, anyone been denied insurance for this, next Tuesday i have my last visit and then my paper work will be submitted im so nervous i will get denied because of this please advise thanks
