  1. I don't know how to add friends to myfitnesspal, but add me!! I need people to hold me accountable! My screen name is madalias. Thanks everyone!!
  2. I had my first fill on Tuesday and I'm too full! I have to go back tomorrow to get it readjusted. I had my first "stuck" experiences. Yuck. I also have water that "gurgles' in my throat when I try to drink. Is that a common symptom of overfills? Not looking forward to that needle again!!
  3. What kind of protein powder do you use? Is there any that is 'flavorless' or decent tasting? I have been buying Pure Protein shakes but it is getting expensive to do that.
  4. I had my first fill today of 2ccs. It hurt more than I expected, but it wasn't horrible. I can tell it is helping me feel restriction already, so that is great!! I am ready to lose some weight now!!
  5. Thank you for the encouragement! I am excited about getting my first fill today!! I am hoping for perfect restriction on the first fill- one can hope can't they?! I'm a little nervous, but it has to be better than having no restriction and being hungry all the time.
  6. I made salmon patties tonight for a high protein/ low carb meal. Yum! 1 pouch chicken of the Sea salmon 1 beaten egg 1/4 cup shredded low-fat cheddar cheese 2 Tbsp bread crumbs 2 Tbsp finely chopped onion Make into 2-3 patties. I made 2/ ate 1 and was FULL!! Heat in skillet sprayed with Pam. Heat until cooked through, turning over once in pan. 18 protein/ 6 carbs/6 fats Yum!!
  7. I was banded on 3/20. I had lost 28 lbs, but I have gained 4 lbs this week, my purée week. I am very frustrated. I am supposed to eat four 1/2 cup meals with 800-1200 calories. I can't get to 800 calories with 1/2 cup. I am trying to eat more protein than carbs, but I'm failing at that too. I'm eating scrambled eggs, eggnsubstitute, Greek yogurt, drinking skim milk- things with protein, but not enough. And I'm hungry. I don't get a fill until the 16th. Oh- I am walking 2 miles everyday to. Why am I gaining weight?! I guess I just need some encouragement bc right now I feel like crying.
  8. I found 1 cup containers with hinged lids (pack of 6) at Wal-Mart. They have become my best friend! I can pack my food into 1/2 cup portions and eat the leftovers the next day or evening. I love that they already have lids attached and I can't lose them.
  9. Hi! I just found this site and I am learning so much just reading what other's experiences have been. I was banded on 3/20/12. Pre-liquid diet I was at 260. I had lost 28 lbs, but have gained 3 pounds in the last weeek- my puree week. I don't know why because I am walking 2-3 miles a day and only eating 800 calories or less. I am a little frustrated, but am hopeful that once I get my fill on 4/16 that things will change. My great news is that my blood pressure medicine that I have been taking pre-op is too strong now and I am going down to a next-to-nothing dosage already! Dr. is super pleased and guesses that I will be off BP meds after a little more weight loss! How cool is that!? That is the very reason that I had this surgery! I am looking forward to hearing about other March banders experiences.
