  1. I asked my surgeon this question today. He said that is normal. Some days the band is tighter than other days.
  2. That is great that you and your mom are supporting each other. Your weight loss will depend on you. Best wishes.
  3. I check my weight every morning. I kept a weekly journal and record my weight on Monday's. This help me keep control of my weight. If I don't see lost, I know I have to change things up.
  4. The one thing I have learned with the band is PATIENCE. You are doing great. Don't be frustrated. It takes time.
  5. Good luck on your new journey
  6. What a great victory. How wonderful that you can be a support to your husband. Pray all goes will.
  7. Welcome. I love this forum. I hope it help you as well.
  8. Thanks for the inspiration
  9. I have 8.5 cc in a 9 cc band. I was concerned that it took that many cc's for me to reach my sweet spot. My surgeon said it could be based on my anatomy and Everyone reaches the "Green Zone" at different cc's.
  10. Whoop Whoop. Celebrate every pound.
  11. You looking good. It takes a while before our brain catches up to our weight loss.

  13. I am glad you went to the doctor to discover what was wrong. Have you discuss this with a bariatric surgeon? Best of luck to you.
  14. I can do this!!!!!!
  15. I have lost 64 lbs and I still really don't see and big change. Looking at an old photo helped. My brain gotta catch up.
  16. The 5 day Pouch Test is a good place to start. Make an appointment to talk to your surgeon. Please remember, IT IS NEVER TO LATE TO START OVER!!!!! There is always hope. Be encouraged.
  17. Yes, when I find that I am able to eat bigger portions and not feeling satisfied, I go on a full liquid diet for 2-3 days. I do this about every 8 weeks. It works for me.
  18. I can understand your frustration. I don't think your partner thinks "it's all about him". He is just committed and excited about his journey. Have you told him how you are feeling?? Be honest with yourself. Are you following all the band rules?? If yes, don't worry about the slow weight loss because you are on the right track. If no, have a discussion with your surgeon and dietitian, visit a support group or ask your partner to help keep you accountable. You should be proud of your weight lost. I haven't lost as much weight as I wanted to but I am grateful for every pound I did lose. Please don't compare your success to someone else's because it will only lead to frustration. Be encouraged!
  19. 75 lbs is great. The one thing I have learned on my journey is to never compare my success to anybody else's. It's not about losing the weight fast, it's about losing safely and being healthy. My friend had Gastric Bypass and lost a ton of weight. But, she gained ALL of that weight back and stretched out her pouch. She tired to get it revised to the Lap band but her surgeon wasn't able to place the band. Lap band was the best decision for me. Congrats on your upcoming Banniversary!!!!!!
