  1. Once again, you are misinformed!!!!!
  2. Awanda, I don't know how much weight you lost with your lap band. I do know that I would NOT lost as much weight as I did with WW or any other diets. I will take the black eyes, loose skin over fat any day. All your responses are negative. If you are unhappy with your lap band, that is your issue. STOP spreading your poison on this site. We are here to provide support. Take your negativity somewhere else!!!
  3. I am glad you went to the doctor
  4. Any weight lost is a BLESSING!
  5. What willpower
  6. Thanks for taking the time to post this.

  9. Enjoy the compliments. You deserve it.
  10. So wonderful that you have a support system. You looking good.
  11. I don't think you were rude. Now enough with this!
  12. I think some of this is the fear of the unknown. We were used to being heavy. We got comfortable with that weight. Maybe some of us is sacred to meet "the new you". Some of us never realized how big we were because we avoided the mirrors or taking pictures because of our weight. Now, this makes us take a look at ourselves. It may take a minute before our head catches up will all the changes.
  13. Keep asking questions and just ignore the rude responses. Eat the meat and throw out the bones. I would not got upset over it. One bad apple would spoil the other helpful people on this forum.
  14. Friends don't have to understand. You are the on making a life style change, not them. As long as they respect y eating changes and not try to temp me
  15. I would start cutting back now. Therefore, it would be easier when you have the surgery. That will be one least thing to adjust to after being banded.
  16. Continued.... I finally went to see my surgeon on Feb 18 for a much needed fill. He was not mad at me like I thought he would be because I lost the extra weight during the month I waited for my appt. Since then, I am on FIRE!!!! I will not, can not fail. I am working with my tool and not against it. STOP feeling guilty and stop beating yourself up. That will only keep you defeated. Forgive yourself. Leave your pass in the pass and move forward. It is never to late to start over.
  17. I can also relate. I have been in a standstill since Sept 2012. I got frustrated and started cheating my band. I also started eating bigger meals. Boy did I do it up New Year's weekend with fried foods and LOTS of libations. I was eating like I didn't have the band. My "break through moment" was around the 3rd week in Jan. I have not been on this site in months and one day I got on it and was reading the success stories. I thought wow , that could of been me. I did not spend all this money , have surgery, and do all this work just a fail. did not visit my surgeon in 4 months because his office is very far from where I live and his office hours conflicts with my work schedule.
  18. Welcome. It does get better with time.
  19. No cholesterol medication, that is truly a blessing. How, wonderful. Watch out blood pressure meds Cruz y'all are next!!!! Keep us posted.
