  1. What a difference in only 4 months. So happy for you.
  2. Do your band gives you a signal that it's getting full. I get the hiccups when I am full. At first I didn't realize hiccups was a sign until I started paying attention. I noticed that if I continued to eat after the hiccups, I was miserable. No after the first hiccup, I STOP.
  3. I dissolve my protein powder in a little water first.
  4. My marriage was not all that great before WLS. My husband has tried to sabotage me since the beginning of my weight journey. So far I lost a total of 66 lbs. I went from size 24 to 16-18. He never compliments me. He finds something wrong with every outfit. He tells me how stupid I look on a daily basis. He says "I can't believe you wearing that" or he laughs and shakes his head. I know he has issues but I refused to let them be my issues. The more he criticize makes me more determine to keep losing the weight. If we do get divorce, it will because I can't take the emotional abuse anymore.
  5. I went back to work the next day. I sit most of the time. I wore an abdominal binder for about 2 weeks and a heating pad that really help. I could not get time of work and my surgeon said if I didn't get it done then, BCBC would make me start the 6 month documentation process all over again. I DID NOT want to start over. Everybody is different, but I didn't have much choice. I had surgery on a Tuesday. Worked Weds-Friday. Rested the weekend. I made it but I WOULD NOT do it again. My surgeon did not approve of this but he understood.
  6. Soon you won't need medication
  7. You can do it!!!!! Each day is one day closer. Hang in there. I was on a 8 day pre op liquid day. The first 3 days were hard. But I did it and lost 9 lbs.
  8. What is PB2?????
  9. I was having random bruising all over my body for no apparent reasons for 15 years. In 2009, the bruises started to have some soreness. My doctor just kept dismissing my bruising as clumsiness. I know I didn't bump into anything. I finally changed doctors in 2009. My new doc immediately started doing all kinds of lap work. I was diagnosed with Lupus and Fibro. This is just my story. I am not trying to scare you. I really want to encourage you to talk to your family physician about your bruising. Please keep me posted.
  10. I was a Pepsioholic. It has been awhile and I drank a sip the other day. Wow!!! The sugar rush. I felt high. I won't do that again.
  11. Hiccups is my signal to stop eating. If I try to eat pass that, I feel a little pain. Now, after the 1st hiccup, I stop eating. Sometimes that is hard to do became the food taste so good. But, I got to listen to my band.
  12. Wow!!! Awesome. What an inspiration.
  13. I give my clothes to lady at my church. She has been struggling financially and really needed clothes.
  14. I find the opposite. People flat out comment about my weight loss. I am not offended because I don't think they mean any harm.
  15. I also struggle with that. Drinking water or hot tea helps.
  16. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! I look forward to hearing more about your success. Whoop Whoop!!!!!
  17. Wishing you all much success on your journey.
  18. Congratulations on crossings your legs.
