Brusing

Almost 8 months with my band just started getting fills again due to me getting really sick in December . Just want to know if any body else wakes up with random bruises on there body and if they know why that is ?

I agree doesn't sound band related. Check with your doctor.

I had 4 fills in total... never had any problems after the fills.

Where are the bruises? If you've recently had a fill and they're around the port, that's a common thing. If you're just finding bruises randomly, I would check with your doctor, you could be anemic.

I do get random bruising anywhere an for no reason.

However it has nothing to do with my band.

I have Fibro with other issues. But Dr says its because of the Fibro

I would get an appt an talk with your Dr.

I was having random bruising all over my body for no apparent reasons for 15 years. In 2009, the bruises started to have some soreness. My doctor just kept dismissing my bruising as clumsiness. I know I didn't bump into anything. I finally changed doctors in 2009. My new doc immediately started doing all kinds of lap work. I was diagnosed with Lupus and Fibro. This is just my story. I am not trying to scare you. I really want to encourage you to talk to your family physician about your bruising. Please keep me posted.

I'm pre-op but wanted to share my experience. I bruise easily, and sometimes have petechia (small red or purple dots) on my lower legs for no apparent reason. I went through 17 years of my life without knowing I have a platelet dysfunction disorder.

Sounds worse than it is. Basically I bruise easily, blood doesn't clot as fast as it should, takes longer to heal etc.. Nothing life threatening.

I would definitely recommend that you just go to the doctor to get checked out, could be something, could be nothing. But you will never know for sure until you go get some tests taken!

Good luck!!
