  2. So I don't actually start my ore-op diet until May 22 but I thought I better figure out what I like and don't like. I am finding that it won't be as bad as I thought I get to have 5 protien shakes or bars a day and one low cal low card meal. I ordered the sample packs of protien shakes from my bairiatric pantry so far they aren't that bad I wanted to try a bunch before really hitting it hard. You know in all the diets and the meeting Bout weight loss I've done the saying " food will never taste as good as THIN feels" well I'm ready to know that feeling. Here's to all of us that are tired of have to shop in the specialty stores ( aka fat girl stores) and here's to a new beginning and the ability to walk into a boutique and not only getting to look at shoes, jewelry and scarfs cause that's all we can fit into. I'm ready!!!
  3. Ok I'm looking for protein shakes and bars. Which ones do you suggest? Also I can do protien bars how about them? Can you add fruit to help with the taste for pre-op diet.
  4. Set my date yesterday. June 5th I will be sleeved excited and nervous all at the same time. I'm ready to meet the new or is it the old me either way it will still be me.
  5. I have my first consultation with Dr. Nick this Friday I will be self pay. After surgery how sore are you and when are you able to really function. I teach and I also have a 3 month at home so is this something a can do in a 3 day time span or would it be best to wait until school is out (2 months) for the 1st of the summer. I'm just anxious to begin my new life.
  6. Ok how many of you went through insurance and how many we're self pay. I am just starting but I've heard people say it took so long waiting for insurance. Im one of those people that want instant gratification how long did it take your insurance? My bmi is 46.3 but I don't have diabetes or heart condition basically I'm pretty healthy for a fat girl. Will insurance pay. And any recommendations on drs in the Dallas ft worth area? Sorry so many questions
