  1. Ok what are your thoughts I like that idea of only drinking the 3 oz but getting high protein amount. I know we need whey protein so wouldn't these work? If so what bend do you recommend?
  2. So I've been basically cooped up on my house with my 2 little girls for over a week. My mother God love her she took both of my girls last night for the night and told my husband and I to go to the movies, so we did. Then this morning after sleeping in mom and I went to town with the girls. We shopped all day. We walked so much my mom joked with me that I probably would loose 5 pounds heres to hoping so ha ha ha. So anyways so much walking and now my left side lower back is killing me. But man what a day!
  3. Sent you a fb request my name is Kristi Stalvey June 5th for me looking forward to fb poking with my fellow sleevers.

  5. Uggg I'm not hungry. Which is great but I really want something other than SOUP... I want to SINK my teeth into something. I'm post op day 9 and really if I never have another simple liquid soup again in my life YEP I think I will be OK..... any suggestions, I have to 21 days.
  6. I am one week post op and I am on a full liquid diet. I seriously want to sink my teeth into something... Any idea for meals?
  7. Sleeved on 6/5 I'm doing great. Been up moving and walking. Down 14 lbs this morning including pre-op diet. All I do all day long is drink liquids but I still have a hard time getting them all in. Sore on my left side but it's bare able. The hardest part of the whole surgery is not being able to pick up my sweet 5 month old baby girl. I don't think she quite understands why mommy isn't holding her and lovin on her. But it will pass and she will have a healthy HOT mommy soon. Good luck everyone.
  8. OMG Amy I so want to chew on something too. I just told Russell tonight that I wasn't hungry but I really wanted to sink my teeth into something.
  9. I made it through with flying colors!!! Lost 11lbs on my pre op diet. Went in to surgery weighing in at 270 and some how managed to gain 2lbs after my hospital stay. I just laughed because I knew it was from all those iv fluids they kepted pumping into my system. No worries though. Coming out of surgery I had trouble breathing but that soon passed. Now the trick was to hold down liquids took some time misting it was the liquid pain medication I could not hold it down even with the nausea medicine. Liquid loritab did not work for me I ended up on liquid Tylenol with codeine that stayed in me. Let me tell you puking after the sleeve very painful. I am now taking a pill for pain. I have my Pepcid and nausea pills but not really needing them. I am so ready to see results and to get past these three week of liquids only. Thanks for all the kind and inspiring words I only hope I can do the same for someone one day. Will be posting soon.
  10. K so I was sleeved on Tuesday spent two days in the hospital and I am headed home today. I can't wait to see my baby girls. I miss them so much. The pain is bearable I finally found a pain medication I could hold down. Let's just say throwing up right after being sleeved NO FUN.... I am holding every thing down now can't wait for these 3 weeks to be over with.
  11. I drove to Dallas. I'm from Midland it's about 5 1/2 hours away. I'm sitting on pre op right now and nerves are getting to me my tummy is upset.
  12. So my sleeve is tomorrow morning. I'm excited and scared. My husband and I traveled so today after pre admin and pre op we shopped and just hung out together. Met a new friend and sleeve sister for lunch. And shopped some more... one day it won't just be for jewelry and shoes, but for SKINNY CLOTHES!!!! Only liquids tonight so I'll be drinking my dinner!!!
  13. My surgery is in four 1/2 days!!! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.
  14. Ok so I'm doing my prep diet and yes I'm hungry but I keep on doing it right so why do I feel guilty when I eat my one meal a day? I not eating bad I'm staying in my guide lines. I'm also a but nervous becaus I had my consultion at the beginning of April and I had to go back to work after maternity leave and life has been crazy and stressful. So I stepped on the scale the morning of day 1 an I had gained nearly 10lbs ugh I guess that's why I am feeling so guilty. Any advice surgery is schedule for June 5th so a little over a week. I am just worried that I'm not doing every thing possible to loose the weight plus a little more. Am I the only one feeling this way?
  15. Are any of you in Texas and who is your doctor?? We can do this I'm so ready to meet the inner I mean THINNER me!!!
  16. Ok so this isn't my top "I can't wait" but you will understand the importance especially you moms out there who haven't been to the restroom alone in years. I can't wait for my daughter to notice my a$$ fits on the tiolet seat. Yes I'm tired of the question "why do you not fit on the seat?"
  17. I am on day 1 of my two week pre op diet. So far so good it takes me a while to eat my protein bar so that kinda helps with the head hunger. Protein shakes I found to be delicious. Premium protein from sams chocolate flavor. I also have the nectar sample pack so I can change it up a bit. I have gained weight since my consultation so I'm doing all that I can to get it off. Any ways here I go!!! June 5 th baby!!!! Oh also a bit nervous about the surgery. It's funny if I was going in for my ankle surgery I don't think I would be so worried, but I am about this one is it because it's an elective surgery. I just want to be here for my 2 beautiful girls.
  18. So I start my pre-op diet on Monday, May 22. It's 5 shakes or protien bars a day with one actual meal and at or under 1200 calories each day... Any help words or advice...
  19. Amy I did get the folder but like you said nothing told me how much protein. When are you scheduled I'm June 5th I have to wait until school is out cause I teach. Everyone keeps talking about getting a lot of protein in so what is too much.
  20. How much protein should I be taking in on the pre-op diet I was told 5 shakes or bars a day and one meal but no amount of grams of protein was mentioned. My surgeon is Dr. Nicholson in Texas. Advice Please!!!
  21. Ok so I went online and ordered from MyBariatricPantry.com I bought their sample pack and the drinks are pretty good, for protein drinks that is. However, are the protein drinks supposed to be mostly clear and very thin??? I know its a liquid diet I was just wondering because the other protein shakes I have are much thicker. Am I doing this right?
  22. So I'm self pay and one friend said that getting a personal loan was cheaper with interest than the care credit anyone else out there finding the same thing my credit is great so I'm not worried about that just want to get the cheapest interest rate.
