Getting A Head Start.

So I don't actually start my ore-op diet until May 22 but I thought I better figure out what I like and don't like. I am finding that it won't be as bad as I thought I get to have 5 protien shakes or bars a day and one low cal low card meal. I ordered the sample packs of protien shakes from my bairiatric pantry so far they aren't that bad I wanted to try a bunch before really hitting it hard. You know in all the diets and the meeting Bout weight loss I've done the saying " food will never taste as good as THIN feels" well I'm ready to know that feeling. Here's to all of us that are tired of have to shop in the specialty stores ( aka fat girl stores) and here's to a new beginning and the ability to walk into a boutique and not only getting to look at shoes, jewelry and scarfs cause that's all we can fit into. I'm ready!!!

I ordered from my bariatric pantry... the sample packets have 10 for around $18 they are pretty good, called syntrax nectar... also Sam's has a pre made Premium Protein chocolate shake I really like these and they are very convenient...

I'm getting sleeved on June 11th....I have my last pre-op appt on May 22nd, that's when the NUT suggested I start...so I'll be on the pre-op diet for almost 3 weeks (its my own fault, my doctor took some Fluid out of my band in Feburary because I was starting to get really bad acid reflux, and I've gained 10 pounds :o( ) I've bought alot of sample packets from bariatric pantry.com as well as CHIKE..

I'm in Houston, Texas, my surgeon is Dr. Yu

Oh I'm a teacher as well...that's why the summer date too! :) I'm not scared about the procedure, I just want everything to be safe for me as well as Dr. Yu....I like my doctor, he's very supportive, and his staff is super nice, can be forgetful at times, but aren't we all.....

Well I will be the first to say this. Preop I stocked up on things i liked. Post op they are nasty. So keep in mind tastebuds DO change a bit.

Tastebuds definitely do change after surgery so don't go crazy on stocking up protein shakes that you like because you make not like them post surgery. A few of us found this out the hard way.

Like me. I have 2 cases of Isopure and a few cases of fruit2o and a few other cases of assorted water, a few cases of chicken broth. I have a stock pile lol. Luckily I have kids
