I saw my pcp this am on his rounds and he asked me if I got my surgery......I said ummmmm no I am waiting for your office to FAX my records!! He was not happy! And what do you know my surgeons office received all my records before noon today! Yeeaaaaaaay!!! Paperwork submitted and now. ....we wait!

Don't have a date yet.....submitting to insurance this week! Wooohoooo should know a date by the end of this month! I am looking forward to seeing my vagina again!!!! Lmao!! I'm 5'3 current weight 247.....goal weight 125!!!

Fml.....I thought I was going to have an October surgery date.....but when I went to see the nut today she said she wants to see me back in two weeks with an improved food diary!!!! OMG I wanna scream! As if a 6 mo supervised diet wasn't long enough? I wanted to shank her! So, now everything gets pushed back 2 weeks and I am looking at a November surgery date. Grrrrrrr

I know tp I am so close!! For this to happen now!! I am going to call tomorrow like I said and then take it day by day and if I have to will be very very expensive and I am not sure how cobra works like if your benefits stay the same etc...the only thing I can hope for if or when it happens his company does what they did for others in the past by paying them for 60 days and continuing their insurance for 60 days

I'm eating everything too.....and my last meal will be at "Golden Corral"! So I can have all my favorites! I will miss food but I know my life will be SO much better after surgery! I'm breaking up with unhealthy living and never looking back!!!

I'm so freaking excited!!! I know I will cry when I get the call saying I'm approved! The next 4 weeks needs to hurry up!!!

Sooooooo, anyhoo.

I know this sounds stupid but I already want to shop for my new body! LOL....every time I go to target or Walmart I browse the ladies section for cute clothes that I know someday I will be able to fit in. I feel like a creep lurking in the ladies section because lord knows I can't fit into any of those clothes at the moment. Hopefully surgery in Oct and then the shopping will be on!!!!

Holy Jesus! 3 years is nuts!!! My final 6 mo weigh in is Sept 14th!!!! Can't wait! I started all this in March and time has really gone by quickly! I am greatful for the 6mo weigh ins because I feel like it has given me the time I needed to really educate myself on the whole rny process! Hang in there!

Oh I have 6 children, but only two left at home and the youngest was 10 when I had surgery. He was old enough to understand and has embraced the whole thing and constantly encourages me and is excited about the things we can do together. Right now we do Wii Fit together and go on walks together and he loves it. At 8 and 9 they are definetly old enough to grasp what is going on and not telling them might be a mistake (in my opinion) just tell them as I suggested before, without all the possible complications. It sounds like your daughter is already worried, so telling her you are going to get "fixed" so you can be healthier and be around might ease her fears anyway.
I could go into child development etc, but I won't but suffice it to say your children are old enough to know to some extent what is going on without freaking them out or scaring them to death, as long as you tell them in a positive way. They will pick up on your fears so try to be positive and honest with them.
