I now revel in the fact that I don't live to eat. I eat to live and no, eating is no longer fun but damn is it fun shopping in "regular" stores in "normal" sizes.......weighing less than my husband........my kids telling me "wow mom I can hug u all the way around now". Keep moving forward and u won't give two blips about how much u use to enjoy food....you'll be too busy enjoying your new body. BTW watching others pig out makes me sick......or reminds me of how I used to gorge- upsets me about myself lol

I did and all it did was make me feel worse about myself- don't do it get the jump start on your weightloss cause after you heal you can eat anything u want if u choose to. Hopefully you won't tho and will have learned to love healthy foods and see food as just fuel for your body:)

K so I know this isn't the most pleasant of topix.......but I have not found a Protein supplement (drink) that does not give me the deer rear. I am 6 mnths out and feel as if I will never find one! Any suggestions? I really don't know if it is from the sleeve because I had ibs before the sleeve. I have also had gallbladder removed and complete hysterectomy. I have to be very conscientious of what I eat when I'm out or I will be in trouble. Any helpful advice from pros would be appreciated:)

Ok Zino no fair!!! Where are your stretch marks? ? Or loose skin??? I've hired a personal trainer but will still be having surgery and you don't look like you were ever even fat!!! Kudos to you

Like "mortgage your house your kids your car....whatever you have to do to break this addiction that is ruining your life and have the surgery." just like they are drug addicts, what I have to realize is that most of my friends and strangers don't want to hear this cause they think they are "not that big" I feel their pain but they totally gross me out when I watch the massive amounts of food they eat but only because that used to be me........

Absolutely went thru this!!!! It made me realize food was absolutely and obsession for me. I was living to eat and now I eat to live. I never understood that before the surgery. Now it is empowering!! I love it!!

I was self pay and it was 13 k but I wanted a local surgeon in case of complications down the road. A lot of surgeons refuse wls patients later on so I wanted to make sure I wouldn't have that issue. I love dr sartor, he's great and the p&s center is like a hotel not a hospital lol!!

I don't want anyone thinking that I think no one else has struggles. I know that you do. I'm just feeling bad for myself,,a pity party I guess. I'm frustrated because I've been stuck around the same weight for a while now, I'm getting afraid that the weight I lost is all I'm going to get from such drastic measures,,I still have over 100 pounds to lose. Thanks for your support, it really makes me feel better.

Peace queen I'm feeling u!! Idk why I am the way I am- I'm going to start seeing a counselor- he has had the surgery and maybe that will help with my mind war! I'm visiting grandparents for two weeks and it's taking every oz of energy to say no to the tortillas Breakfast noon and night!!!!of u want I will give u my number and we can text for support!! Specially at crucial times!!! Lol you are not alone

I'm at a stall as well I haven't lost any weight in a week in a half. Beginning to wonder if I got the right surgery..

I went thru the 3 week stall and now I'm in a 5 week stall......it is frustrating but I try and remember that before the sleeve I was in a lifetime stall........ I was sleeved on march 21 and weighed 258 on surgery day and am only down 238. Some people say well u coulda saved all that money and done that on your own but I couldn't of because I was a food addict. Idk I am upset but all I can do is try harder.

I was much hungrier, and more often, when I was on Clear Liquids. Now I'm on full liquids (and occasionally a bit of mushies) and I've noticed that I get hungry less often. The thing about grehlin taking time to leave the body totally makes sense, too.

I am 11 weeks and five days out and I have to say the hunger thing has left the building. I really didn’t think that would happen to me because at first right after the sleeve I wanted food and odd things for me that is . I really cant believe how free I now feel. The hunger, thoughts about food when to eat what to eat how much to eat has really left me. I hope it stays this way and I to hope for you this will happen. I know we are all different and our weight loss will go at different rates to so try not to compare yourself with other to much so that you wont get discouraged. One day, one hour or one min at a time and we will get to our happy place.

How far out are you? I am six weeks today, and I have been very hungry lately. I thought I was going nuts, then yesterday I was told that it takes a couple months or so for the Grehlin (hunger hormone) to completely leave the body. As weird as hormones are, I believe it. I cling to this hope that the hunger WILL be gone soon. The good thing is....if we go crazy on some binge...it can only last a couple minutes!
