It takes a while for the ghrelin to completely leave your system. I felt that way almost 2 mnths after surgery but it goes away. It was also indigestion mimicking hunger pain and when I got on protonix it went away

Soooo I am about 50 pounds from goal and am startin to research the next step. Should I get a lower body lift? What about boob jobs? Any suggestions on who to use around louisiana and saline vs silicon.

Well I need a lift and implants but I've had a consult and he thinks I should actually go down to a c(I've always been a d or bigger). I would just like some other input on choices others have made concerning plastics. I just am chomping at the bit to get the tummy tuck!!!!

I now revel in the fact that I don't live to eat. I eat to live and no, eating is no longer fun but damn is it fun shopping in "regular" stores in "normal" sizes.......weighing less than my husband........my kids telling me "wow mom I can hug u all the way around now". Keep moving forward and u won't give two blips about how much u use to enjoy food....you'll be too busy enjoying your new body. BTW watching others pig out makes me sick......or reminds me of how I used to gorge- upsets me about myself lol

I did and all it did was make me feel worse about myself- don't do it get the jump start on your weightloss cause after you heal you can eat anything u want if u choose to. Hopefully you won't tho and will have learned to love healthy foods and see food as just fuel for your body:)

No fatty rich food- cant eat fried foods at all since gall bladder surgery (except occcasionally chicken lol). I have tried premier they are just so gross- Atkins, low carb slim fast, muscle milk, various powder form mixes........... Including hydrolyzed whey:/ . I can tolerate cheese- luv cheese sticks!!!

K so I know this isn't the most pleasant of topix.......but I have not found a protein supplement (drink) that does not give me the deer rear. I am 6 mnths out and feel as if I will never find one! Any suggestions? I really don't know if it is from the sleeve because I had ibs before the sleeve. I have also had gallbladder removed and complete hysterectomy. I have to be very conscientious of what I eat when I'm out or I will be in trouble. Any helpful advice from pros would be appreciated:)

No I eat lots of meat- I try to supplement with drinks bc I hate breakfast and I need about 90 grams protein per day to combat hair loss and build muscle mass. I find if I am not vigilant about my protein intake I only get 20-30 grams in. The only fiber I eat are beans. I love any type of bean but I don't consume any other fiber product bc I was under the impression fiber made u go which I do not have a problem with.

Ok Zino no fair!!! Where are your stretch marks?? Or loose skin??? I've hired a personal trainer but will still be having surgery and you don't look like you were ever even fat!!! Kudos to you

I don't dio but my husband does an he hasn't been able to quit- he's tried several times and we've nearly divorced during that time lol. From what I understand it's even harder to quit than smoking because your a getting much more nicotine when u dip......:/

I find myself Preaching to em. Like "mortgage your house your kids your car....whatever you have to do to break this addiction that is ruining your life and have the surgery." just like they are drug addicts, what I have to realize is that most of my friends and strangers don't want to hear this cause they think they are "not that big" I feel their pain but they totally gross me out when I watch the massive amounts of food they eat but only because that used to be me........

K I am still losing hair......taking biotin and using nioxin. When does it stabilize???? I'm going on 5 mnths out. Starting to have ugly loose skin too. Love loosing weight tho- any advice?

No she's talking about hair loss- doesn't matter how much I work out and lift weights. Plastic surgeon said massive weight loss=excess skin. Regardless of whether u loose it from diet and exercise or wls, skin is skin

Absolutely went thru this!!!! It made me realize food was absolutely and obsession for me. I was living to eat and now I eat to live. I never understood that before the surgery. Now it is empowering!! I love it!!

Me too- I have always had really thick hair and I don't see bald spot but I am losing ALOT!! It is getting pretty thin on both sides of my "bangs" but I'm really getting nervous- how much biotin should I be taking in and when does it slack off??

Go ahead and try it or it's all you'll think about but the bread is going to make you miserable I promise. I don't even know y people order the wheat bread from subway, u might as well get the good stuff cause their "wheat" is not 100% whole grain.

K so I have been doing fair- sleeved on 3/21 @258 and went in for hysterectomy on 6/4 @222. However the problem is I can't hold any food down since Monday. Can tolerate liquids, should I give it a day or two or call vsg surgeon?

I called and they said same thing- callin in phenergan and I it continues I'll have to go back in........praying it gets better

I was self pay and it was 13 k but I wanted a local surgeon in case of complications down the road. A lot of surgeons refuse wls patients later on so I wanted to make sure I wouldn't have that issue. I love dr sartor, he's great and the p&s center is like a hotel not a hospital lol!!
