I was banded on the 16th and hell yes im hungry too but its like all in my head or mostly in my head.I want a freaking burger or a taco but instead i drink sum broth or a protein shake and the hunger goes away for lets see about an hr!!!!so gud luck on this journey and i hope it all gets better next week wene we start our soft/mushy foods!!!

Having my surgery done in 3 days and i am sooo freaking neveous and anxious!!!I have been on my pre op diet for almost 2 weeks and i have just really got use to STARVING!!!! May 16th is my day and We are leaving to head to Las Vegas Nevada for my surgey...In a car and 2 days after surgery driving 5 hrs to Phoenix AZ for 2 weeks!!!!Any suggestions on how to handle all this travel so soon after surgery???????

YES I did!!!But you will not like what the end results were for me....I bleed like that for 7 yrs and ended up in the hospital with dangerously low iron 4 times in a 6 mnth period.So I HAD to have a hysterectomy at 38 yrs old.I also wanted one more child before i turned 40 but it just wasnt in the cards for me.NOW I am soooo happy I had the surgery.And have not had anemic issues since.

I am 13 days away!!!!!I started my pre op diet yesterday...UUUGGGGHHHH its horrible....I am soooo hungry!!!But other than that I can do this...Good Luck guys for the May Blooming Bansters who have got banded in the last few days!!!!

Well Surgery for me is 19 days away!!!OMG i am so terrified that i wont make it through surgery or ill die after..So many ppl around me keep warning me against surgery so now as the day gets closer the more paranoid I am getting...Am I being over stimulated or what?Did anyone else have all kinds of crazy thoughts as ur band day approached? Help me someone calm down my nerves and my mind!!!! I start my pro op diet on the 2nd of May..and Im okay with that part just gotta stop thinking so hard but its tough to do wene your scared of being put to sleep and I have had thoughts of backing completely out of this...PLEASE HELP sooo i dont wimp out!!!!Thanks yall so listening to me..Hope i dont sound to crazy!!!!

I am May 16th!!!

Im having my lapband done May 16th and i must say you are very good at telling how things went for you I am hoping things go welll for me also. I too, have the fear of not waking up after surgery.I know God has a pepose fo me here so i am trying not to worry about that.I start my pre-op diet May 2nd and need lots of help figuring out WHAT kind of protein shakes to use.My Dr requires me to do 2 shakes and a lean/green dinner.And of course lots of water in between.Good luck on your new journey....

Well less than a month from now I am traveling to Las Vegas to get my lapband surgery!!!!!Im already nerveous about this and my mind is already playing games on me...like should I really do this or am i gonna really be able to handle the change????I am always a very determined and committed person but this is really screwing with my head..Did anyone else have these feelings,or thoughts?Just soooo worried how im going to heal or how much pain just lots of thoughts.Is this NORMAL???I need some encouragement badly!!!

yes it will be lets all try and meet on here after the surgeies so we all knw what to really expect.I will try to post on the day of surgery or the day after for sure and share my experience.How does that sound???

Well in response on how long Ive been waiting..NOT long..Since March 19th.My insurance doesnt require documentation of diets just one co morbidity.Which I have 3!!!Diabetes,sleep apnea, and arthritis in both knees!!!.I have to go to Las Vegas for my surgery which is 1800 miles away.I would travel to the ends of the earth if need be,but anyways...I will attend my seminar in Vegas,but I have attended a seminar on my own here close to my town with the dr whos gonna do my fills.My ficilitator informed my today that my doctor will write her own letter but shes not gonna sign the form the facilitator..Duh shes not to bright I dont guess but hopefully the letter she writes will be sufficiant for my insurance..still waiting though...

me to i am going thru the same exact thing rite now and I already have my surgery date!!!Its bullcrap and f we awant to have a surgery to help us with our health why cant we??I KNOW what your going thru i truely do.

So my surgery date is set for May 16th,all things are turned in and bam i hit a massive speed bump in this road to healthy lifestyle change YESTERDAY!!!!My primary doctor doesnt want to sign the surgery clearance letter because my diets Ive tried over well lets see the last 10 yrs have not been documented!!!But she agrees that the apband surgery is a positive step for me to take????WHAT the Heck???So now I have my facilitator talking with her to get her to rewrite the letter that is needed for my insurance(which my insurance does not require DOCUMENTATION of my diets)...Just so freaking PISSED and frustrated!!!I dont know what to do!!!My surgery is just about a mnth away!!

i knw exactly how u r feeling. im getting banded may 16th and im already getting the nerves and wondering WILL i be able to handle all this after the surgery good luck gurl u will be fine.i dont knw u but i will help pray for u too.keep us posted on how the surgery goes....

So all my ducks are in a row,all mt T's are crossed and all the i's are dotted...So why am i feeling so weird?? All Im doing now is WAITING now for May 2nd to start my pre op diet and then May 16th to get my lapband!!! Im feeling nerveous and second guessing myself...Am I doing the right thing etc...Did anyone feel like this before there surgery?And I still have like 43 days left before Im banded...Just feeling weird!!!Is this normal? to have all these dumb thoughts!!!???

Hey Heather.Im getting my lapband done also in May.On the 16th.Im soooo scared too.I am still researching the band and trying to learn the pros and cons but cant really seem to find any BAD about it.I also live in Arkansas (West Memphis).I am going to Las Vegas to have mine done.WHY??? Insurance of course..Just wanted you to know I am right there with you on the nerves and being really scared.The closer it get the more nerves I get.Good Luck too you.

yes to Little Rock I live in West Memphis.But just learned today 2 days after surgery we will go to Phoenix Az for like 5 days and its only like a 5 hr drive from Vegas to Phoenix so i will not have to endure to much of a drive post op well til --5 days later anyways.I would love to have you call me and let me knw how and what i need to do.Have you already had surgery?ima give you my number okay? its 870-284-5037 thanks sooo much and good luck to you also.

Got great news ALL my ducks are now in a row and my original Band Surgery date was changed from June 6th to May 16th!!!!Excited but less time to prepare "Mentally".My husband and I are driving from Arkansas to Las Vegas Nevada for the surgery.Any suggestions on driving the 21 hrs back after being banded???All the suggestions will help since I really dont know what to expect!!

Thats AWSOME!!!! I also got good news today also!!!!My date was moved from June 6th to May 16th!!!!SOOO FREAKING READY!!! I start me liquid diet on May 2nd!!!Good luck to you also!!!I hope WE both do well!!!

hey ima be right behind you.I got my band date changed from June 6th to May 16th!!!!!so I have 49 days til I get banded!!!!Im getting really scared and nervous my pant size is 20/22 shirts r xxL. Are you getting the same nerves and scared too?
