Take off those regain glasses and turn it around!
Thank you so much. I needed to read this. I've not been on this site in a long time. I lost my husband and a brother to cancer in the last 16 months. I lost a total of 130 pounds and have put back on 35. I had sleeve surgery May of 2012. I remember those honeymoon glasses. Oh how I loved them. Then things started to fall down around me. My husband diagnosed with cancer and died 6 months later. Then my brother 13 months after that. Life is hard but I don't want to go back to 300 pounds. I never thought about things the way you are describing. You have given me hope and a new outlook. So thank you so much. I just have to figure out how to start eating again. I gained this weight by drinking "frappes". I don't eat much even to keep me nourished but the caffeine and sugar in the frappes keep me "up"... I use them for comfort and they are loaded with calories. I want to get back on track. I hope by reading this it can turn me around. Blessings,

Reversal
This is so sad! I had the sleeve on 5/21/12 and have been having issues with GERD and acid reflux, bile reflux and esophageal spasms. I was told by my surgeon that the only solution FOR GERD is to convert to bypass. NO WAY. I told him no and I mean that. Only way I will do anything is if I get an ulcer or something. As of now, I don't have one. I will take my chances with the sleeve. Seems Gastric Bypass surgery just brings on more and more problems. Even years after having it. I am 18 months out from the sleeve on the 21st. I see a few people on there that are doing revisions from sleeve to bypass and I pray it works out for them. I feel for you ladies. I feel sad reading your post. I pray for you to get better and be able to gain weight and have your life back. So sorry this has happend to you. God bless you!!

Seminar And Looooong Wait Times
I had NO clue I would have to take shots after my surgery either until the surgery was done!! I got home and they called in my meds and I was told I had to give myself injections of blood thinners everyday. The first time was awkward. It really didn't hurt though. The needles are so small and they are prefilled syringes. You will be fine. It is a small price to pay for the benefits!!

Insurance Denied Surgery
My insurance wouldn't pay for my surgery either even though I had high blood pressure, borderline diabetes, and was almost 300 pounds. I decided to get online and apply for CareCredit which is high interest but I was approved and I had my surgery and paid 18,000 for it. I now make payments but I had no other choice. I knew I had to have this surgery and I borrowed the money. I'm so glad I did now. I am so much better and so much happier. Hope things turn out for you!! Oh and now I've lost 78 pounds in 5 months and am down to 218.
