  1. I had the same feelings but you have to resist. Just keep reminding yourself you consented to have 85% of your stomach removed and thrown in the trash! This always keeps me on point. Then I look at my 4 little scars.
  2. My heart is breaking for you. Where are you? Can you see another surgeon? I'm in NJ. My surgeon is Dr Nusbaum but I'm seem by his physician assistants. I haven't seen him since the day of my surgery. I wish I could help you. Keep reading the forums. Maybe you can find an answer somewhere. I will keep you in my prayers do not give up! Do Not Give Up!!
  3. Yes it can happen too from drinking too soon. I'm surprised you aren't vomiting. Becareful because my doc says if you drink too soon after you eat over time you can strech your sleeve from the excess.
  4. I always decline visits to the buffet. It's such a waste of my money. I do love that fact that when I do eat out. I can order an appetizer and be satisifed. No I don't like splitting the tab with friends it's so unfair. I can't eat and drink at the same time. I request my drink after I've eaten because I made the mistake too many times of grabbing my drink out of habit and sipping only to vomit. Also my doc said this can stretch you sleeve so wait 20-30 mins after you eat to drink.
  5. Wow 4 mths!! Awesome!!!! Have fun!
  6. I'm going to try merderma. http://www.mederma.com/
  7. I need a way to increase my water intake. Thanks
  8. I wasn't required to do the six month because I had been seeing a nutritionist and I was able to get the proof from her office and the insurance company accepted it. Keep in contact with the insurance person at the doctors office because they are following a routine. I'm sure I annoyedd my insurance girl because I too had a date in mind that would work for me. I was on it!! I did all my pre-op consults in two weeks. She didn't believe me. I was on the doctors to turn in their reports. I was always pleasant and showered the office with please and thank yous. LOL
  9. My guess is this is your largest incision. I had the same problem at the one by my belly button. My doc said it's the excess stomach was removed and it has an internal stitch that needs to heal too. Take it easy. Don't lift anything over 25lbs. I was told to take my pain meds and it soon went away. Whenever in doubt call your surgeon. Feel better. Hang in there it will get better.
  10. It sounds like you might be dehydrated or deficient in your vitamin levels. Sometimes I do hate eating but I'm doing better. I seem to be managing the slimies better and no vomitting. Hang in there. Let us know what the doctor says. I am 11 weeks post op. How much have you lost.
  11. AWESOME!!! TAKE THAT BOOTH!!!
  12. Does anyone else miss veggies with their meal? I get annoyed sometimes at my all meat meal. I get 70-80 gm of Protein a day.....stay around 900-1000 calories
  13. I am 10 weeks and it happens to me. It sounds loud but I don't think others can hear it. LOL It happens when I drink to fast or have something that upsets my sleeve. I at some spicy tuna last night and roxie (my sleeve) was pissed off and I thought an alien would come flying out of my throat. LOL

I have a fat girl chair at work. It's funny because I was asked if I needed more room. This is a $700.00 chair. Since losing 56 lbs I get teased about how big my chair is now. Just two mths ago I was spread out nicely in the chair, I'm never giving up my fat girl chair even when two of me can fit in it. I don't know how much you have to lose but don't cover yourself up because even when you lose weight you will still have some part of your body you will want to hide. (extra skin on arms, thighs etc) I say let it all be free fat rolls and extra skin. I honestly prefer my rolls to the skin but I was in pain with the rolls so I can handle some skin without pain. Don't worry too much about the camper,
  15. I've noticed my junk in da trunk isn't as solid as before. It jiggles a lot which means TONE< TONE< TONE and maybe the Brazilian Butt Lift workout. If you had a "real" booty I think you will be okay.
  16. I've noticed memory loss. I'm usually very good with remembering things and keeping lists etc; I tried to remember tje best way home from my brother's house tonight and my head seemed foggy. I get the stupids too. I've done some really dumb stuff.
  17. I'm 2 mths on Reg diet. I eat broccoli. When I was on the soft stage I ate cream of broccoli soup and dumped extra broccoli in it and pureed it.
  18. HAPPY SURGIVERSARY TO ME! TWO MONTHS AND 50LBS SW:448 CW:398 GW:248
  19. I am 8 weeks post op today and I have the same problem. I was worried I might have a blood clot but it isn't a constant pain. I was thinking I need more exercise.
  20. I had a hotdog with no bun. Cut into very small pieces.I'm not sure about the kraut
  21. So...are you saying without the sleeve? I was following a high Protein low carb diet prior to my surgery. This is similar to what I'm following, however now I'm eating smaller portions. I don't have the free will to eat larger portions like I did before or have a carb breakdown. **I just noticed your starting weight. I can understand why you feel that way. Good Luck to you.
  22. Honestly I did it once when I was on my pureed stage. Everyone was eating baked ziti and chicken. I chewed both didn't swallow and spit it out. It gave me the flavor and I was okay. I was craving chewing badly and although it may sound gross to some I don't think it is or will lead to a eating disorder. I mean heck most of us already have some type of eating disorder. My adice is if you do it don't make a habit out of it. Your tummy is still fraigle and needs to heal properly. Hugs
  23. A word of advice....I was on pain meds (TRAMADOL) for a year and a half before my surgery. I was unaware that pills could not be swallowed post-op. I didn't think to ask my doctor about a game plan after surgery for my pain med. I was so scared. I found out tramadol could not be crushed. I was discharged home on Roxicet (no refills) wlbut that was for stomach pain. I went through a withdrawl period. It wasnt fun
