Loose Skin Is Freaking Me Out....
Me too! I already see it on my thighs so it's making me workout even harder. The less skin the better. I've on lost 33lbs so I can't imagine when I've lost the 200lbs. But I'm happy and will deal with whatever comes my way.

I never had cramps like this pre-op and if I did it would last for one day. I thought maybe it was my sleeve but the bottom of my stomach, thighs, back and butt hurt like H*LL

I Ate Tuna Tonight--Stage 3 Here I Come!
I was suppose to start Stage 3 on Saturday. I went shopping for the family tonight and when I got to the Soup aisle I felt depressed. I just couldn't do another day of pureed soup for dinner. Last night I barely ate it. So I purchased a can of seasoned lemon pepper tuna. I mashed it up well with my fork and all I had in the fridge was regular mayo (I have to buy LF) and mixed a little in. I was nervous as heck! I put a very small amount in my mouth and chewed at least 40 times until it was gone. Not very much to swallow. I didn't eat much because I'm nervous. I see my NUT tomorrow and she officially gives me the clearance. I'm so excited. Scared but excited. TMI: I have cramps so I'm also like is that a pain in my sleeve. I think if I didn't tolerate it I would probably vomit. Right? Fortunately I didn't and I don't feel nauseous.

Too Big For Surgery?
Keep looking for the right doctor. Dr. Nusbaum in NJ performed my surgery. My BMI was 79.3, I weighed 448lbs, I didn't have to do a Pre-Op diet or lose weight before my surgery. Good Luck to you. If you want the information for my doctor let me know. I am 3 weeks post op and down to 420.

Ideas On Stage 2 Foods
Cream of wheat has been a staple on my 3 weeks of Stage 2. I also make my own concotions and puree it really well. Although it looks bad it tastes so good. I made a pot of green Beans with smoked turkey and pureed with chicken broth. Also sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes but don't eat them thick make sure they are soupy. U can use cinnamon and splenda brown sugar. I'm allowed to use I can't Believe It's Not Butter and that has been a lifesaver too.

I Cheated I Was Depressed
Just remind yourself how sad you will be if you cause a leak at your staple line. NO BUENO! Then they will have to go back in. Give you new inscions to fix the damage or worse you could rupture your banana size stomach. Think of the pain and unnecessary complication you are causing yourself. I'm sorry to be so blunt but that's what keeps me in check. I was afraid of dying going into surgery and I'm still afraid of doing something wrong post-op! Super Tight Hugs!!

Two Weeks Out And Need Help
Caution! Just because you feel good doesn't mean you are completely healed inside. That takes time. Talk to your nutritionist. I am two week out 3 weeks tomorrow and I'm eating sugar free pudding, sugar free yogurt, cottage cheese, cream of wheat, pureed Soups and occassionally mashed potatoes and baby food. Still doing sugar free Jello and ice pops. 78 grams of Protein a day Minimum 48 ounces of fluids Either 1/2 cup or 1 cup depending on what it is. Talk to your doctor or nutritionist

How Not To Scarf...?
I purchased toddler spoons but now I eat out of teaspoons and small bowls. Today at lunch I was hungry (yes I get nauseous when my body needs fuel) I'm in the pureed stage and last night I made a pot of seasoned green Beans and pureed it. It is yummy. Well old habits set in and before I knew it I had shoveled 4 consecutive spoonfuls in my mouth. Well Roxie (my sleeve) put me in check quick. She started making noises then I started burping and I felt a huge air bubble rise. I thought I was going to puke. I did a gag burp kinda thing twice and felt better. I closed my container and signed onto VST and read your post. So....you will learn your sleeve and when you mess up you will learn from your mistakes. I think we all have gulped or chugged without thinking and POW!! Reality reminds you that you can't do that anymore. Now remember INSANITY is repeatedly doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result! I know you aren't INSANE! RIGHT? LOL Don't worry you will learn even if it's the hard way!

Husband's Vs 4 Days Ago...drinking Too Much?
I've noticed I can drink more too than before. I'm 2 weeks post-op. However, if I drink too fast my sleeve doesn't like it. My NUT wants me to drink a min of 48oz of fluids a day.

The More I Lose, The More I Fear...
Exercise! Exercise! Cardio and Strength Training. Hire a personal trainer. Make sure it's one that is familar with WLS. Most experts say pick different days to do both but WLS folks should incorporate both everyday and of course walk, walk, walk. I'm two weeks out and started to trip because my thighs were getting the jiggle. ( I could feel it too.) I'm bottom heavy so it's mulitplied x2. I asked my surgeon if I could start working out and I was given the green light excluding weights (lifting anything 25 pounds or more) I know being a gym rat isn't at the top of everyone's to-do list but it's so important. It will at least minimize some of the sagging skin. Good Luck!

Incision Healing...dry Or "wet"
I have dermabond and was told I can shower but don't submerge them in water. The glue should eventually wear off and magically I should be all healed. I was reading through the literature from the doctors office and it did saw I could put neosporin on them but I'm gonna let them do their own thing. I had to get cleared to go back to work and the OMS nurse said my incisions are healing nicely.

Not Ready For Protein Shakes - What's A Newbie To Do?
Didn't make to the store so I read another post to mix the Protein powder with Water. Duh! It went down well no nausea. The shake wasn't as creamy but I loaded it down with ice and I was able to finish it without incident. Yayyy! Sad thing is I'm not ready for milk. So no pudding either. Sniff I did have some awesome loaded potato Soup that I pureed with chicken broth. I felt like this was my very first tasted of real food. It went down well too. A little too well. I had to remember to pace myself and slow down while eating. I'm going to have 4 more ounce tonight and put some unflavored Protein Powder in it.

Not Ready For Protein Shakes - What's A Newbie To Do?
I'm trying so hard to get into stage to. I can't do the Protein shakes. The ones I have (Chike and Unjury) taste good but after drinking them I get nauseous and a case of the runs. Because I don't tolerate milk will a friend suggested I try Lactaid. I haven't been nauseous since my two day stay in the hospital and now I'm nauseous. Ugh! My doctor suggested I try the Isopure Zero Carb clear drinks to get my protein in an next week try to re-introduce the shakes. So here is where I need your help? I've ready so many bad things about the taste of Isopure clear drinks. Can someone who has had a good experience suggest a flavor? I'm usually a fruity girl (cherry, strawberry etc;)? I'm headed our to Vitamin Shoppe and a case of 12 is 46.99. That's a lot of money for me to get something I don't like. Thankies!! :D
