How soon can you drive after the surgery? Im having my surgery in Huntington, WV which is an 8 hours drive from home. My surgeon is making me stay 2 extra nights due to me not living within 100 miles. I go in on April 18 and surgery is the 19. I will leave on 23. Unfortunately, the person that volunteered to go with me doesn't drive. Will I be able to make that drive home? Please help!

Has anyone been sleeved by Dr. Blaine Neese out of Huntington West Virginia? He is doing my surgery. He comes over to the VA hospital on Thursdays to do surgeries. I just feel funny because I have never met the man that's gonna be responsible for changing my life. I met the VA surgeon that will be assisting him. I'm on the countdown with 19 days before the big day. I was so excited and now I'm scared and on the verge of changing my mind. My only sister can't go with me now because she just had major surgery on Thursday! Can I really do this by myself? Please help, especially post sleevers that have gone through surgery. Freaking out in North Carolina!

My surgeon only required a one day clear liquid diet the day before surgery. After reading others requirements, I'm putting myself on a two weeks liquid diet. I ordered the nectar sample package. Please, anymore suggestions are welcomed. I figured it wouldn't hurt to get my mind and stomach used to liquids.
