Hi! If you would like to add a friend, this is what you can do: Under the picture of the person who is posting you will see a box with a person and a "+" sign, click on that to become friends. Or you can do it by viewing their profile, you can click on their member name above their picture and you can view their profile, and click a tab that says "add as friend." I hope this helps. Let me know if it didn't make any sense and I can try to explain it better.

Where Are My April 2012 Sleevers?
Glad you are feeling well. I am on day 4 postop and my right side of my stomach is sore, but that's about it. I also went off pain meds. I'm so glad i did!! They wanted to give me tylenol with codine, but can't take it because of the nausea. So I just bought some children's tylenol (liquid). I used it once and that was it. I don't feel I need it.

6 Days Out And Pain
I, too, need to burp after every sip of liquids. I can feel it working it's way up. I am only 3 days postop. I will definately need to learn how to do it quieter, but right now since I am at home, I just let it go. It also helps with the gas from surgery also.

Time Of The Month During Your Surgery?
My period came yesterday, two days after surgery. Last month it came late, so I though I was in the clear. Since the stress of surgery, it decided to come two week early.

Where Are My April 2012 Sleevers?
Hi Everybody, Just wanted to let every one know how things went. Wednesday, I got to the hospital at 8 a.m. to get prepped for surgery. They did a pregnancy test, blood sugar test, and started the IV. I met with some people operating nurse, ansteologist, etc., then the surgeon came in to get me. I had a complete break-down, but they were good about that. Had me laughing in about 5 minutes. Then I was out, don't remember anything until I woke up in the recovery room and I was very sick. My husband couldn't even come back to see me. So they gave me some meds and wheeled me up to my room. I slept the entire day and night. I woke up around 6 a.m. the next morning. The next morning, they did the leak test, YUK!! That stuff they make you swallow is disgusting. Anyway, my leak test came back good. They removed the cathetor and allowed me to drink. Water makes me very nauseated and gives me the dry heaves. So I have been staying away from water. Then I got released from the hospital around 5 p.m. yesterday. When I got home yesterday, I went straight to bed until this morning. Today, I am feeling better. Having a bit more energy and I drank about 10 ounces of fluids today. I really don't have the gas pains that others are experiencing. I will get a little one, but then it will go away quickly. I do feel the gas moving around in there and my stomach is very bloated. I do feel nausea every once in a while, but that seems to be less now. I walk around and even took a shower today. I'm looking forward to the healing process. My main goal is to keep pushing fluids.

Love it!!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one worried about the little things. The hospital called this afternoon and I asked her again just to be sure. Thank you, I will update when I get home on Thursday. I cannot bring any electronics to hospital.

Oh, that's great that they moved the time up for you. I'm hoping mine is scheduled for the morning as well. I'm not sure if I will be getting a drain. My surgeon does it on an individualized basis. I'm worried about the littlest things, like not being able to wear deodorant and no lotions on body/face. I'm packing it along . I don't know the answer to the shower. I would think you would be able to shower the next day, I hope.

I'm Sleeved!
I hope you are feeling better!! Just think, you are on your way to a healthier you! There are also some posts on here about the emotions after surgery. I was very emotional after my first child, my hormones were all out of wack. If that happens to me again, I hope my husband is prepared . Good luck on getting all your fluids in today.

I'm holding the best I can!! Just so nervous!! I really didn't think I would be this nervous. You're right, I just need to keep thinking about how this is going to change me (in a good way)

Nervous
I am a bundle of nerves also!! I went to do my final grocery shopping for postop. Seems so final now! When I talked to my sister to tell her how scared I was, sher said, "think how good this is going to be for you." She's so right!! Nothing else worked for me. Hard to believe tomorrow is the big day for us!!

Nervous
I can relate to your post so much!! All of your surgery worries are my exact concerns. All I keep thinking is, "what am I doing?" and "I have done so well on preop, I should just be able to continue." But in reality, that would only last for like a month or so. I also have only told very few people because of negativity. I feel the less people that know the better. I don't need to be judged. Phew, I'm just a bottle of nerves
