  1. I did! I tried to drink coffee on Sunday. I started with crampy stomach and then diarrhea. Maybe you should go to your Dr. if it's really bad. You don't want to let it go.
  2. You look amazing!! Keep up the good work! What a difference!
  3. I was only in the hospital one night. I was a little worried to go home so soon, but once I got home, it felt great!
  4. I agree with Cheri, get checked out by the doctor. You could also have been allergic to something they used in surgery. For instance, I was allergice to the glue they used on my incisions . . . that made my stomach very itchy.
  5. Best of luck to both of you! I only took a book, change of clothes for discharge, and toiletries. The less the better. I didn't pick up the book once. I slept for most of the time, if not sleeping, I was walking. Good luck and keep us posted!
  6. Best of luck today!! I will be thinking of you!
  7. I took pictures of myself with yoga type pants and just my bra. Didn't like the way it looked, but felt like I needed to do it.
  8. Glad you found some answers! Good luck!!
  9. Oh no, sorry your not feeling too well! You should probably call your Dr. and explain what's going on. Maybe they should change your medication. Feel better! Keep me posted!
  10. Love your quote about your ankles! Wow, 100 grams of protein . . . I need to eat between 60-75 grams. I drink about 64 ozs. Always have to take water up to bed with me, which leads to frequent bathroom trips.
  11. Best of luck to you tomorrow!! Please keep us posted!!
  12. Oooo, sounds yummy!! I should get to my mushy stage today after my preop appt. I think I'm going to get some to bring home.
  13. Can't wait to try it! How long did you have to wait to do pureed stage? I remember telling my nutrionist that I didn't want to do the pureed stage, now I'm excited to start it .
  14. Hi! Yes, there have been pretty many that have been sleeved already. I was sleeved on April 4. Congrats on your surgery date. That's great that you are doing the buddy system. What great support you both will have.
  15. Thanks so much for sharing this! I bookmarked the website for my puree stage next week. Can't wait to try the recipes!
  16. I'm so glad to hear from you and hear how you are doing. Wow, just noticed how much weight you have lost . . . good for you! Congrats on that!! Sorry to hear about your side, maybe it's part of the healing process. Things are going good for me. Excited to start the puree stage, which should be next week.
  17. Oh congrats on your weight loss success, awesome!!
  18. That sounds really good! Do you puree that since you are only 3 weeks out? I love hot sauce. I think i will try that in my blender when I can eat purees . . . next week, yay!!
  19. I did good on the preop diet. If is was going help with surgery, I was sticking with it 100%. I lost about 8-9 lbs on the preop diet. However, I didn't have to do a liquid diet. Not sure what kind you are on. I did a lowfat Atkins diet. I hope the headaches went away. I had one on day three, then nothing else. Hang in there! Remember what you are doing this for! Good luck!
  20. Hope you feel better soon! Sending hugs and well wishes your way!
  21. Thank you! Everything went well wit my surgery. No complications and it was actually took him an hour less than I was scheduled for. After the surgery was over (around 1:15), they put me on so many meds that I was basically out until about 6 a.m. the next morning. Since I slept so much, I didn't think I would be able to be discharged, but then I started to feel better. Getting up was a chore, but I could walk and keep fluids down so I was able to go home that day. Your emotions are completely normal. I went through every emotion there was. I even cried when they came to get me to take me to the operating room. Then I don't remember anything. Before I was released, I had to do a leak test. After that came back normal, I was able to eat. For the first 5 day, I only had Clear liquids. broth, sugar free popsicles, clear Protein drinks, a little Jello, and I was able to drink my Water. The first day preop, I could not drink water . . . made me sick. Now, I am on the full liquids stage. I have added greek yogurt, cream Soups (strained), sugar free pudding, Protein shakes. I need to get in 50 grams of protein and 64 oz of liquid. I am having no problem meeting that. I am tracking all my Fluid and calories on SparkPeople.com. The first day, I only got in about 300 calories, now I am around 550. Puree stage starts next week and hopefully so do my Vitamins because I have no energy. All in all, I feel great! The only complaint is my energy level. I only had nausea for about 24-36 hours and really didn't experience the really bad gas pains. Anything else that you need, please don't hesitate to ask. I know how you are feeling trust me . . . just trying to be prepared as possible. You are going to do wonderful!!
  22. Wow, you are wonderful!! Thank you so much for this! I am definately going to be hanging on to these recipes. They look yummy!!
  23. Thanks for that information! It will save me some $$. I will be moving to my pureed foods soon and am looking for some good recipes.
  24. That is so awesome!! Keep up the great work! Congrats
  25. Hi! Was wondering if anybody has a recommendation on a good cookbook for "after" weight loss surgery that has easy recipes? I found a few cookbooks searching on-line, but one recipe call for a bazillion ingredients. Thanks, Courtney
