I am so happy that you journey begins tomorrow. I also went to Tijuana, Mexico alone for my surgery in Dec 2011. I also did not take much with me but then I did not need any makeup although maybe somedays I could use some....... I know that you will have a great experience. You do not say where you are going or who your surgeon is but I hope that your surgery and stay are a good one. Please keep us posted and keep the faith. I know that all will be fine and you will be home before you know it.

It is better than they say. I had my band for over 2 years and even though I lost weight I was constantly going to the doctor to have the fill adjusted and finally I just stopped losing weight and was at the maxium fill. I was also constantly vomiting when eating food as due to the high fill foods would not go through. I wish that I had never heard of a lapband and had the sleeve initially.

One problem with your lower than expected weight loss is that you may not be getting enough protein or fluids for you body to do its thing. I know that if you body thinks that it is being starved it will start to shut down and try and stop you from starving. You need to get in your protein and all of your liquids. if you do not like the protein shakes try some yogart or go to GNC and get some flavored fruit punch drink as it is high in protein and it is more like drinking a soda. Put it over lots of ice and get your protein. I know that eating the same thing day after day gets boring but if you husband did it I know that you can do it. Just take it a day at a time and soon enough you will be through the early stages and be able to eat more satisifying foods.

Just checking in to see if you have started your diet yet and if so how things are going for you. Hope that you are doing well and that your surgery is still scheduled for Feb 22. It will be here before you know it and your new life will begin.

I take the gummy bear multivitamins and take enough to get an adult dosage. I also buy the Citrical Petites at Walmart and have a pill cutter and cut them in half. I take each half with some applesauce. I have been doing this since my surgery and I have not had any problems. I also take Vitamin B12 sublingual tablets. Hope this helps.

They sound good and I would add lettuce to that list.....but unfortunately most of those are not on my diet for several months in some of the foods. I know that when I get to that point I will be trying them and hopefully they will all settle with me. I have heard that celery is a nasty one for most.
