  1. Yummy! That sounds really good. I will have to try it.
  2. Surgery went well. Very little pain just tired. Just had upper gi and no leaks. Had a big meal for dinner: two bites of Jello a sip of Water and 30 cc of ice. I am stuffed! Lol Getting some rest and will update later.
  3. I am heading to get the hospital. I can't believe my day is here finally!
  4. I understand you completely!!! I am scheduled at 11:00 tomorrow. I am ready to puke my guts out! Maybe that is just from liquid and laxatives for days..lol. I am full of excitement and fear at the same time. My anesthesiologist called tonight to ask a few questions before tomorrow and that made it soooo real to me. She was really nice and just wanted to make sure I didn't have any questions before tomorrow. That helped to reassure me. I have never had that happen before. I have a husband and two kids and don't want to leave them. They are my reasons to have WLS. Just think at this time tomorrow we will be on the losers bench!!
  5. I just bought the vanilla creme powder tonight. It is really good, I am sipping on a shake right now. I mixed it with skim milk and sugar free caramel torani syrup. It tastes like a milk shake. Yum!
  6. I am sooo ready!! We are one week away from the big day!
  7. October 15th in Denver.Wooh Woot!! Anyone else in this area?
  8. Oh Crap!! That's alot of money!! Better look for a new doc! I am still post-op but just bought my vitamins. I bought a Bariatric advantage chewable multi vitamin, B12 and Calcium citrate. I spend 100 bucks for three months. I will probably try some others next time. I really don't care for the chewable multi. It is really gritty, I think a gummy would be much better. I did get the caramel calcium and it is yummy!!
  9. I feel better knowing I am not alone in the diet coke battle. My PCP's nurse has RNY and didn't stop until she had surgery. She said she didn't have any problems stopping. I keep hoping that I won't like the taste of them afterwards. But I am learning it is so much a bad habit than the flavor. Now that I am down to one they taste soooo sweet. Mio sounds yummy I will have to try it for sure. I have been trying the crystal light but its not really that good. I like the Wal-Mart sugar free cherry.
  10. I am on a high protein/low carb diet until next Saturday. Then clear liquids for one day. I am trying to eat several small meals and increase my protein. I am working hard to get all of my water in. I am down to only one diet coke a day. I have been a huge caffeine junkie for many years. I am trying hard to stop before the big day.
  11. I am on the 15th. We are getting close! I am so excited.
  12. We have the same date. It is getting so close!
  13. Yes there is a big difference! Keep up the good work. I am so ready for my sleeve, only 12 more days! I can't wait to have progress pictures.
  14. What brand of vitamins are you taking? My dr and dietician recommend bariatric advantage. But there are lots of other brands to choose from.
  15. I am terrified of being that one that failed. The closer I get to my date the more I fear failure. You are not alone!
  16. Add me October 15 on my Birthday!! I can't wait for this amazing gift!
  17. Wow!!!! You look great, I can't wait for my sleeve!!!!
  18. It is frustrating! I was calling my insurance company 2 times per day on the second week of waiting. I was able to get the process expedited since my doctor submitted surgery dates two weeks out from the date it was submitted to insurance. The rep finally understood that I needed to be able to plan in advance instead of last minute and had it expedited for me. I had my answer the next day. Only downside (if you can call it one) is that it was too late to get the other surgery date. So I have to wait three weeks but that is ok. Finally I was told I was approved.
  19. I hope you survived today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. It look like we will have surgery one week apart and close to the same starting weight. Keep in touch and let me know how your insurance approval goes.
