  1. Wow tomorrow. Praying for quick recovery, no gas, and excitement to begin your journey. Keep us posted.
  2. CONGRATS I will be starting my liquid diet on the 25th. Lets keep in touch. You can give me some tips :0
  3. I thought since my surgery was at 7:30 am that I would be going home same day. Just found out that my insurance says I have to stay 24 hours. I thought that was interesting.
  4. So glad you are going to the doctor. Dehydration is no joke. Keep us up todate on how you are doing.
  5. Although I know we got this it was still good to hear....Thanks
  6. So I was wondering if anyone who is having their surgery in June has been or is going to any support groups. I went to one lask night.....interesting to say the least. I did learn a few things but it was very preachy which I was not expecting. There was also a lot of people who had gain a ton of weight back and had started to come back. Got to say it scared me a bunch to see so many lap band and gastric bipass people who had gained their weight back. It seems like there are a lot of people out there who put the weight on. I really am tierd of failing at this weight thing and praying this works out for me and I dont end up one of those people sitting in the a class after gaining my weight back or not even reaching my goal. I have to admit it scared me and I left feeling a little discouraged. What do you think??
  7. How exciting. I'm scheduled for the 4th too. We really should stay connected so we can help and support each other.
  8. Congrats. I went and seen the surgeon today and my surgery is June 4th. So excited!!!! June is going to be a good/exciting month.
  9. I have my surgery date......JUNE 4th @ 7:30am. I am so excited to finally have a date. I guess after I walked out I begin to feel a little nervous but excited. My surgeon was very informative and easy to talk to. He answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. I also found out that BCBS is requiring me to stay the night. I did think I would be able to go home. My husband already took off work and I found out that my mother-in-law will be coming down to stay at least a week with me too. I'm wondering what others have done to get prepared for surgery besides just the 10 day diet. Did you cook up food? Did you buy certain foods, drinks? Do you carry a 64 oz jug or do you carry a smaller one and refill?
  10. I have my appointment with my surgeon today to schedule my surgery. I can not even tell you how happy I am. I went and seen the nutritionist on Tuesday so I am ready to go. It is hard to believe that this has gone so smoothly. Even my doctor was not sure I would be approved by the insurance because of my lower BMI and no real problems with my health except high cholesterol, which may or may not be related to my weight and might be genetic. I have been reading blogs since I found out I was approved last Friday, the good the bad and the ugly. I would love to get to know people on the site. I have chosen not to tell a lot of people. In my cirlce of friends only one knows. My mom and mother-in-law know because they are coming in to help my after surgery but that is all. I just dont want to be judged by others. Hoping to pst surgery date later today!!
  11. BCBS is requiring that I have it done at the main hospital too which makes it more money but it will still be an outpatient proceedure I think.
  12. You should be fine. I hear that the sleep apnea is a direct relation to weight and is so dangerious. My doctor told me that if my test came back that I had sleep apnea that I would definitly be approved. I did not not even have one of the main comorbidties and BCBS still approved me based on my BMI and when the letters written by the psycolgist and nutritionist. Has all your paperwork been submitted to insurance yet?
  13. I also have BCBS and the only co-mo that i have is high cholesterol. I did the sleep test and did not have any problems. My BMI is 35 so from the BCBS website it says you need 2 co-mo. I was sure that I was going to be turned down and I got approved last Friday. What do you have going on? Did your doctor ask for a sleep test? What is your BMI? if over 40 you dont need any co-mo with BCBS.
  14. Actually I was very lucky I got my approval in 1 1/2 weeks. I was told 4-6 weeks and got the call today.
  15. How exciting for you. After thinking I was going to be denied for sure I recieved a call today saying I was approved. I see the surgeon next Thursday. I'm so excited!!!!
