  2. Bamagirl I am so sorry u r going thru this! I can only imagine how frustrated and downhearted u must. I pray that everything works out ok and ur doctor is able to find a good solution for u. Wishing u the best
  3. U could also be allergic to the pain meds. Try not to freak out
  4. 100% agreement with Allison. I would just add that if u don't have a BM by day three take some milk of mag otherwise u r gonna be curled up in the fetal position wishing for death by day four or five.
  5. Maybe u can just see it now cause ur belly isn't blocking it jk. Any non scale victory is a victory hehe
  6. Alerker I had my surgery 3-1-12 and I am so happy I did! Did I have that day four feeling of "what have I done to myself?" I did but it only lasted a day or two. All in all it has been a wonderful experience! I am going for my first fill in one and a half weeks. I couldnt be more excited!
  7. OMG I was banded 3-1-12 and just started my period last night ( my period has always been rude like that) and I am in so much pain! Is this normal? Is it because it's so soon after surgery?
  8. Best advice I can give to the hungry is to drink drink drink drink. It really helps satisfy the hunger! When I first had my surgery, it was impossible to get all that water down but now I have it down my early evening and just snag a couple of bites from my hubby's plate at dinner as I am full from all the water!
  9. Oh well I was on the phone with mine for like three min so idk
  10. I've never had anything like that mentioned and I've read ally stuff three times
  11. I think basically they just want to check u don't have unreal expectations (like thinking u will have the surgery n never have to diet or exercise etcc)
  12. My diet is exactly the same as otters38
  13. I can't get it to work on my phone
  14. Red lobster is killin me with their commercials!!
  15. Yoplait light is 110 calories and they have a thousand flavors and they r actually really good. Some of my favs are Boston creme pie. Only thing is if it is fruit flavored (ie. strawberry shortcake) it will have fruit in it. But they have lots of flavors that don't. They have lemon pie as well and orange creme is amazing!
  16. My dr told me when u go for ur fill they keep filling it and having u sip water until u feel it "gargle or like u can't keep it down" then they back it off just a spec. Does that sound right?
  17. I live in irvine, CA. My fiancé and I walk at The beach every sat and sun morning. It is so amazing. I love living here! Yesterday was freezing! He gets a mocha at Starbucks and I have my water bottle of crystal light. I think These are the memories I will carry with me forever!!
  18. 1800?!?!? Makes my 400 at Starbucks sounds great! I tell ya it was worth it!
  19. That's very true. I had the smoothie instead of breakfast and only drank half so it was really only 200 calories which I hope isn't bad for a meal. Still learning and am not too sure
  20. I was so hungry I wanted to dive off a bridge so when my fiancé wanted to go to starbucks before our walk at the beach, I saw they have smoothies with a banana and whey protein. They are 400 calories which isn't so terrible as a shake but felt soooo good and I couldn't finish it (it is 12 oz). They have mango and strawberry. Yummmmy idk is that terrible? I am on my 2nd week post op
  21. That does sound yummy! Wonder if the peanut butter might be an issue?
  22. I'm in irvine also. Had my post op visit today. Have lost 15 lbs! Course when ya can't eat..... Anyway, they set me up a two week app tent for my fill. I'm excited as I have been pretty hungry the last few days
  23. I actually found putting an ice pack (on top of a towel) helped me when the bloating got really bad. Alternated heat and ice. Glad u r walking. The pain Meds do not help the bloating, for me they were a big part of the problem. My bloating got better around day eight
  24. The gas for me has gotten better just in the last day or so. I have been walking a lot for sure but maybe it's also just a time thing. I went to bed feeling still like crap and woke up feelin not so bad. Longer recovering than I was told!
