  1. They give u water to drink when they test the band. U need to take a drink after they tighten to see how it goes down
  2. I drink v8. Usually 4oz in the morning. Can't handle breakfast early so it is a win win
  3. I had that around day four but 30 lbs down? How could fixing my health be a bad idea?
  4. I went in and had all my fluid taken out (3cc). He wanted to give my band a break since I didn't come In For three days (said with a firm frown on his face and a hanging head for me). I go back wed for a fill. He thinks 2 cc will be a better try for me. I was down four more lbs so that's good!!
  5. I have had one full and one unfill and both times I just feel crappy the whole next day! Sort port site and nausea
  6. I bought 100 cal snack packs for just this occasion. They are chocolatey and crunchy and really help!
  7. I had my first fill last Saturday and didn't feel a thing until wed when all the sudden I got terrible heartburn so much so I didn't have any appetite. Long story short I had to get it taken out yesterday (and get a lecture about waiting to call. I was hoping it would settle down). Dr says I am prob gonna be one of those that doesn't need much fill for restriction. Let's hope hehe. Going back this wed to get a slightly less fill put back in (had 3cc). On the plus side I was down 4 more lbs (34 lb total) so I'm not gonna complain about not feeling restriction ever again (well for a couple of weeks at least)! We r rocking this girls (even if it is "white knuckle" all the way!!)
  8. I'm the same way! I do so well til aunt flo comes knocking then a I feel like a crack addict in rehab!!
  9. Yeah my hubby ears in front of me all the time!! It was hard at first but it's getting easier
  10. I had my surgery done in tarzana. They staff is amazing and most of the nurses are banded themselves! They took care of everything for me and come down to Santa Ana (I'm in irvine) for my aftercare. The doctors have me their personal cells and always answer my texts. I'd be happy to get u their info if u need it
  11. Feel free to message me anytime! It's be nice to have someone to talk to when u want to eat but shouldn't that can sympathize and help u thru!!
  12. I went for my first fill last Saturday. Everything felt the same until wed when I developed terrible heart burn. My dr took out all fill (3cc) and told me to rest it. I go back wed to get 2 put in. Arrrg but man was I miserable!!
  13. Well my first fill experience was something else to watch for...I got the fill, felt great for four days then got heart burn. Tums and Prilosec, no help. Three days later (I should've gone sooner) I have to go get a small unfill. I guess it can take as much as a week for the band to tighten up after a fill. Who knew that one!?!?!
  14. I have a call in to my dr. Right now
  15. I can't believe ur surgeon didn't ask u! They should make u drink water and wait to make sure it goes down well. My doc puts saline til u gurgle then backs it off til u "can feel it go down as fast as the night before". I can not imagine how much pain must have been in!
  16. U bet! U will wake up one day soon and just feel amazing!
  17. Holy Moly! I have been having heartburn 5 days after my first fill and thought it was too tight. Mercy! I will stop complaining! I'm so glad u r better!!
  18. I don't know if it will or not but a heating pad is helpful. Ur body has to absorb the air. That's why the walking helps so much
  19. What were ur symptoms where u were too tight weightogo?
  20. The gas can last for a week or more. U have to walk walk walk. It is not inside ur stomachs so has x isn't gonna get rid of it
  21. So how long should I put up with the heart burn before I concede that my band is prob too tight. I just hate the idea of getting fill removed! I'm so confused. I got the fill Saturday and have been able to eat anything (still measured out my portions just cause I should) then wed night I got heart burn that hasn't abated at all (Tums and gas x gave no relief). Would it really take the band that long to bother me after a fill (it was my first) or maybe I ate something that triggered the burn? Just hate thinking about gettin any out
  22. When I got my fill, when he hit it, it bubbled. Also when he put the saline in it, it gurggled In my chest. Pretty conclusive evidence hehe
  23. We can do this girls!! How many times have we dieted and lost lots of weight but gained it right back?? Well now we will lose lots of weight but won't gain it back!! It's hard but everytime we have dieted has been hard! WE CAN AND WILL DO THIS!!!!
  24. Snielson we are in the beginning stages of putting something together around irvine. That's b an awfully long drive for u but u r more than welcome to participate/join in
